Chapter 70

"Good good! Just like that..." he said, as I continue to try and land at least one hit on him. He spins around and points his bokken sword right at my neck. "But yeah... you still need some more training. Let's take it easy for now. I don't want you ended up collapsing" he said. He slowly move his bokken sword from my neck. I let out a sigh and nod my head. I know that he's right. I might get sick if I force myself too far. So, for now... I'll take it easy.

-Gnawing Fear-

Y/N P.O.V

We train by morning, and by night everyone will be going for a patrol, to make sure no demons will come to attack. Weirdly enough, there are no demons in sight. I don't know what's going on. Why does the Demon King seem to be so... tame.

Even so, we all know better than to let our guard down as we know how wicked that Kibutsuji can truly be. My brother is patrolling on a different area from where I am. So, I don't know how he's doing on his side.

"Kamado Y/N..." a voice said, sending chills down my spine. I pull out my sword and turns my head to see who it is. I feel fear creeping up inside me as I realize who it is. I clench my grip around my sword's hilt.

"Kibutsuji..." I said, backing away. I look around briefly. The other slayers are too far away, so I can't expect to get back ups. But it's not like I wanted them to come to my aid. Fighting Kibutsuji would caused a lot of bloodshed. What can I do at this point? There's no way I'd be able to fight him on my own. I have to find a way to escape this man.

A malice smirk starts to form on his lips. "Come and join me, Y/N... I could use your skill to make me immune to the sunlight" he said. He must have known what I did to make Nee-San immune to sunlight. That's why he came for me. I have to get away. I can't let him capture me.

I reach inside my haori and take out a UV flashbomb. I have modified it to last longer than 10 seconds. This one lasted until 30 seconds. Just enough to injure him badly. But, not enough to kill him. I pull the string and throws it at him. I quickly turn around and rush off. I mentally curse myself to only bring one.

Muzan P.O.V

I lift my tendrils to catch her, when she threw something in the air. Before my tendrils could get any closer, a light appear from the object she threw. I feel the light burning my skin, making me yell out in pain. What the hell is this thing?!

Once the light dies down, I look down at my body to see it's covered in blisters. I click my tongue in annoyance. I had heard that Y/N is able to create a weapon that is capable of weakening demon. She might have been more dangerous than I had initially thought.

A While Later

Y/N P.O.V

I keep running without looking back even once. I turn around the corner and bump into something hard. I fall on my butt and let out a pained sound.

"Y/N? Are you okay?" The person said. I lift my head to look at the person. I let out a sigh of relief. I stand up and throws my arms around his neck. I can sense that he's confused but he held me back nonetheless.

"Onii-Chan..." I said, burying my face in his neck. My whole body is shaking from the fear I'm feeling. I was so scared. I feel worry coming from him as he gently run his hand through my hair.

"Hey... what's wrong?" He asked. I just clutch onto his shirt, too shaken up to say a word. He tighten his arms around me as an attempt to comfort me. I shut my eyes tightly as I try desperately to calm down. I feel his hands going on my back and behind my knees, as he scoops me up in his arms.

Onii-Chan takes me to a bench and sits down, with me on his lap. I keep my face buried into the crook of his neck as he held me close. "Hey, sis..." he said, in a soft tone. He gently run his hand through my hair. "Can you tell me what's wrong? What got you so shaken up?" He said.

"Kibutsuji Muzan..." I muttered. I feel his whole body becoming tensed when I said the name. I pull away a little to look at him. "He's after me, Onii-Chan. He came to me earlier and I barely managed to escape. It was all thanks to my UV Flashbomb" I said.

I pull away to look at him. "Somehow, He's aware that I'm the reason Nee-San is immune to sunlight. He wants to use me so he can conquer the sun himself" I said. I feel tears gathering in my eyes as I stare at him. My hands starts to clutch onto his haori. "I'm scared, Onii-Chan..." I cried out as tears starts to roll down my cheeks. He just pulls me close.

Tanjiro P.O.V

I tensed up when she explains why she looks shaken up. Kibutsuji Muzan is after her. That wicked man is trying to use her to for his own selfishness. No way... no way in hell am I going to let that cruel man get his hand on my little sister.

I hug Y/N close to me as I try to calm her down. What am I suppose to do in this kind of situation? How will I be able to protect Y/N? Especially since she's a Demon Slayer. She'll have to get out there one way or another. I don't know what to do to make sure she stays safe. I'm gonna have to ask Tokito-Kun about this. After all, he's Y/N's boyfriend.

I hear Y/N's breathing slowed and becomes even. I pull away slightly to see she has fallen asleep. I gently place my hands behind her knees and on her back. I stand up with her in my arms as I make my way back to Tokito-Kun's Estate.

"Tokito-Kun!" I called out. He turn his head to look at me. A soft smile forms on his face. But it fades once he notice Y/N in my arms. He walks over to us as he keeps staring at Y/N. He turn his head to look at me. His eyes are clearly asking what's going on. "Tokito-Kun...

We have a problem...
