Two weeks later
ㅇㅇㅇ Celeste's POV ㅇㅇㅇ

It's been two weeks since I found out that Tim was cheating on me.
Last week I went through a whole "Why me?" phase, but I'm over it now.

I've had many texts - 193
to be exact - from Tim saying the same things,
"It was all Mary's fault",
"Mary made me do it",
"It was Mary's idea",
"Reply to me",
"Take me back"...

Yeah, all that crap. But I'm so over him now and can't wait to move on with my life.

I think Mary has moved in with her friend Brenda a few doors down.
She tries calling me a few times a day, but I'm just ignoring her.

And our business has spread round the street like wildfire, thanks to Mr. Mister.
That old fart can never keep out of peoples' business.
A few years ago, everyone found out about Mrs. Weedle's secret daughter down the road before Mrs. Weedle did!

There's a knock at the door and I go and open the door.
It's Seth, my best friend.

"Hi, love." He says before coming and, closing the door and hugging me tightly.

"Um Seth, you're stopping my blood circulation!" I say. I was struggling to breathe.

He let out a sharp sigh and moved his long blond fringe out the way of his sweating face.

"Oh sorry. I heard what that motherclucker did to you. I always knew he was a wrong'un." He rolled his eyes and sighed again, "Nobody treats my Celeste like that."

I always thought it was funny when he attempted saying bad words because he never said them.
He would always say things like "what the cluck", "son of a pitch", and "s-hit".

"What do you mean 'Your Celeste'? I belong to nobody." I say flipping my hair behind my shoulder and turning round to go in the living room.
But then Seth holds on to my wrist and stops me.
"Of course you are! We've been friends for fifteen years."

"Yeah... well anyway," I stopped and thought for a moment, "...weren't you meant to be on holiday for another week? And how did you hear about what happened...?"

"My sister told me. I came on the first flight back."

"And that first flight back was a two week wait?" I said tilting my head to the side and folding my arms.

"Well I had to get a bit more of a tan! I'm so fed up of being so pale all the time."
I did a little laugh. He did look a bit more tanned. I then noticed his suitcase behind him.

"So you haven't been back to your house yet?" I started to blink over by the suitcase to draw his attention to it.

"Oh, yeah. I'm moving in. I think you could do with a friend."

"What? Just like that you're going to move in?"

"Yeah, why not?"

"Because this is my house..."

"Oh, how mean. Well it's OUR house now."
He smiles like a Cheshire Cat and hugs me again. I roll my eyes and hug him back.

"I'll keep your mind off that passhole. And that dreadful sister of yours. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have your sister betray you like that." He patted me on the back, let go of me, took off his shoes and stinky socks, sat on the sofa, put his stinky feet up on the coffee table and turned on the TV.

I looked at him and shook my head.

Well, whatever, he can live with me. But there wouldn't be anyone else I'd rather have to move in than Seth.
