"It's just so freaking awesome!" Niall said grinning from ear to ear.

Harry frowned at him. "Don't say that."

"What? I didn't say anything!" Niall's happy state quickly became a confused one.

"Yes you did"

"No, I did not!"

"You did so."

"All I said was, it's so freaking awesome." Niall said staring at his Economics teacher with childish innocence.

Harry was in silent awe. For a university student Niall could play the innocent card pretty well. "Don't say it, Niall."

He stared at Harry for a second and raised an eyebrow. "Don't tell me your No-No is the word freaking?"

"What is a No-No?"

"It is something that annoys you, very much." said Niall with a bemused smile.

Harry opened his mouth to answer but Niall swiftly beat him to it.

"You know Harry for a teacher you don't know much, do you?"

"Talk to me like that again and you might just die."

Niall laughed heartily, it was just an empty threat. "I wouldn't really mind if you were the one who did the deed." He said smirking.

"Niall." Harry growled.

"Cheer up old man." Niall laughed lightly.

"Just remember to not say it Niall."

"What? Really Harry? I knew you were really an old man in disguise of a young handsome one." Niall said laughing at his joke.

"Mister Harry, Niall," Harry said wearily as he kept on typing on his laptop. Tip, tap, tap. "Just don't say it."

"Mister freaking Harry." Niall said, pronouncing each word carefully. They seemed like exquisite words when Niall said them, each so beautifully enchanting, each rolling off his tongue. Making Harry blush slightly.

"Stop it you naughty little Leprechaun. Keep that word with your friends." Harry said raising his head from the computer screen to look at Niall, straight in the eye, shaking his head. Green against blue in a secret battle.

Niall pulled a face at Harry. Which made the latter laugh quietly. Niall gave him a smile that would sent every dentist into shame. "Don't be silly. You are my friend. Or aren't you?"

Harry looked at him for a while making Niall squirm. "I think I'm supposed to be your teacher---"

"Harry-"

"I hadn't finished." Harry said giving him a warning look.

Niall nodded begrudgingly and waved at him to go on. "Like I was saying, I'm supposed to be your teacher but being your friend sounds like such a great opportunity I simply can't miss it." Harry said sarcasm simply oozing out.

"Asshole."

"I prefer hot British guy."

"You are so very funny Mister Harry."

"It is a talent." Harry said. His laptop forgotten. "You should try to learn it sometime."

"I don't think I shall ever need it. After all I have good looks on my side."

"Now who is the asshole?"

"Hey I'm not the one that didn't know what a No-No is,"

"For a smart boy you don't have very good comebacks do you?"

Niall snorted but otherwise stayed quite.

For a second or so they stared at each other. Neither of them breaking eye contact until Niall turned his head to look out the window. But Harry kept on staring at him. Noticing that Niall's sweater looked a bit crumpled and how there was a scratch arm from the time in class when his laptop broke and the sharp end caused a cut right on his vein. Also noticing a hickey from past events...

Niall disturbed Harry's staring by turning to look at him once again. "That was pretty dumb, Harry."

"Don't be rude Niall. And remember Mister Harry."

Niall got up from his spot on the window sill and walked quietly towards Harry. "There is nobody around Mister Harry." He whispered those last two words in Harry's ear, giving him the shivers.

"Stop." Harry gave him a look so deadly it seemed it could kill.

Niall stood straight. He smiled cockily. "I'm your friend Harry. After all boyfriend has friend in it."

"I hate you."

"I know."

"But that won't stop me from kissing you."

"Mhmm"

Niall smiled as he got pulled in for a kiss that tasted like coffee. It made Niall pull away sharpish and pretend gag. To which Harry rolled his eyes. But coffee would never stop Niall.

***

In a relationship people need cuddles, sarcastic moments as well as quiet moments and laughs. Their relationship was good. It was complicated, after all it was a teacher dating a student and they were gay (homo-phobic assholes), but it was good all the same. They had all the love they wanted from each other. They fit so well into each other, Niall was the little spoon and Harry the big one but there were times they switched and they fit perfectly anyways. It was so beautifully cliché. So freaking beautiful.
