An ear piercing siren rings in Amity's ears, jolting her out of her slumber. She looks around freaked out, however, she realizes she's no longer in that dreaded world she once was in.
She covers her ears and hums a tune to calm herself and rid of the siren that rings. Eventually the siren disappears. Unnerved by the dream, nightmare, or whatever it was, she gets up and heads to the bathroom. As the cold water cools her face, she looks up into the mirror and freezes.
It's here... The being from her dream. It has no face, except for a mask that glows an enchanting, ominous blue. It shrouds itself in a dark cloak. As Amity slowly tilts her head to the right, the reflection of the being does the same. She goes the other way and it follows. She puts a few fingers on the glass and the thing does the same.
"Who are you... Why are you following me?" Amity whispers.
As if in response to the question the next time she blinks, the thing is gone. Amity slowly backs away and heads back to bed. However, she can't fall back into the comfort of sleep. Flashes of her dream replay..
The being with that mask.. it was like she knew it. That is was a part of her.. then there was the two people. A girl with glasses, her hair up in two buns like a mouse's ears, but with the strengths and wits of a warrior. What was her name again?
The other was a boy.. he was like a soldier. She couldn't remember hardly anything about him for some reason. Then there was strange names that she heard..
Per... Benjamin...Chris Adam.. APOC.. Arcadia?
Most of the names were normal like Benjamin and Emmanuel, but Perhaps and Chris Adam where strange.. but none as stranger than APOC.
Amity stared at the ceiling, sleep still not coming to her aid. Something in her told her that there was something strange about that dream.. that she was part of it. She somehow felt comfort in that dream, though there was danger at every turn.
She closed her eyes and started to hum. A part of her wishes that she could go back to that dream because.. it felt like home. She belonged in that place.. she belonged with those people, especially with that being in the mask.
"We're all asleep, someone please wake us up.. take me away.." Amity sings quietly slowly falling asleep to the siren once again playing in her ears.
