A day with nothing interesting happening than watch ants march in a line, however the tranquility is disturbed by a gust of wind blowing my whole body away lifting me up to the sky way up high. Approaching the ground really fast from somewhere high, With the feeling of falling I jolted up, breathing heavily from the shock of the fall, surrounded by beds with other people sleeping in a dark room, a hospital room with the clock hand both pointing at 12. It was all a dream. The only one awake in a dark room with a singular light radiating through the window to the hallway. I look around seeing the people around me sleeping laying down deciding to go back to sleep I put the blanket over me slowly letting go of the bit of lucidity I got left I start to fall asleep like a repeat of events I jump up as my skin starts to crawl because of the feeling of eyes directed to me,"Am I being watched?! Who would watch us during midnight!?" I complained feeling both creeped out, weirded out and just plain confused. Pushing it off as just me still being half asleep I try confirming my suspicion and just for the sake of the ease of mind I get and fall asleep without meaningless worry. I look in the window yet again, however...a black silhouette is seen in the window with the only source of light in this dark room. A tiny worry was magnified into a whole new problem and a bigger worry. Chills down my spine, cold sweat trailing through my face and heart beating loud and fast. Panicked, I composed myself, shook it off and scrunched my eyes and the moment of truth I looked back at the bright window and a sigh of relief was let out as an empty hallway was showing through the window. With the newly found composure I smile and decide to go back to sleep. Crashing down to the bed coming from a sitting position I try to sleep and as I close my eyes my vision has caught a figure in the end of the bed right by my feet, it was the figure of the black silhouette. Blending in the dark room only its big veiny white eyes can be seen as the whiteness of the eye contrasts the darkness of the room shaking pupils are very visible. The silhouette's eyes rise up making it seem like the silhouette is standing up. With my heart and brain filled with fear I cover myself with my blanket strongly closing my eyes repeating the phrase "It is all a dream". With trying to convince myself that it is all just a dream I remember my dream that woke me up in the first place. With the dream leading me to the conclusion of the events that I'm experiencing is real as I was already dreaming beforehand as a dream within a dream was not possible. "YES THAT MUST BE IT" "IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM" I convince myself of the absurd idea of a dream within a dream as the idea is more believable than the events that I have been experiencing. "IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM" "IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM""IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM" "IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM" i keep repeating those words. Still not convinced I took a peak out of my blanket. The creature was gone. I tried laying down covering my entire body with the blanket as fear of seeing something in my peripherals yet again still haunts me. Trying to stay awake as much as I can, I fail and lose to my fatigue causing me to lose consciousness entering the state of rest. Morning came everyone around me waking up as if nothing happened the night before...after all I was right... it was all just a dream within a dream. Laughing at myself for being insane and getting confused between reality and a dream. I look back to the window without seeing a black silhouette. I smile and think of myself as a fool. I look down thinking of last night yet again. However, what I saw quickly wiped the smile off my face. There is a black hand mark stained in the white bedsheet at the end of my bed. Right where the creature once was. After seeing the hand mark I recall of last night's events sending shivers down my spine, heart with the feeling of exploding. I rethink my thoughts and ask myself. "Was it really just a dream within a dream?".
