The aftermath of their intense session hung heavy in the air, the echo of Alex's moans and the raw, possessive energy that had driven Maggie just moments ago slowly giving way to a quiet that felt almost too fragile. Maggie sat on the bed, still close to Alex, watching her with a mixture of pride and concern. Alex was curled up in the middle of the sheets, her body still trembling slightly, her breath shallow and uneven. The room was warm, but Alex's skin had begun to cool, a slight shiver passing through her that had nothing to do with the temperature.

Maggie knew exactly what was happening. She'd seen this before, with other partners, but this was Alex. This was different. This was personal.

The high that Alex had ridden, fueled by endorphins and adrenaline, was crashing, leaving her vulnerable, emotional, and physically drained. The intense pleasure Maggie had given her had flooded her system with chemicals designed to make her feel euphoric, but now, with the thrill of their session fading, Alex's body was entering a state of depletion. It was as if all the strength had been sapped from her in an instant, leaving her feeling raw and exposed.

Maggie's fingers itched to reach out, but she knew better than to rush this moment. Alex needed space for a few seconds longer before she moved in to take care of her. She watched closely, the rise and fall of Alex's chest, the way her fingers gripped the sheets like she was trying to hold onto something solid.

"Alex," Maggie said softly, her voice gentle now, completely devoid of the dominance she had wielded so firmly earlier. "Are you with me?"

Alex didn't respond immediately. Her breathing was still shallow, her eyes half-closed, as if she was lost somewhere far away, still trapped in the headspace they had created together. The disconnect was obvious, and Maggie's heart tightened with concern. She shifted slightly closer but didn't touch her just yet.

"It's okay," Maggie murmured, her tone soothing, letting Alex know she wasn't alone. "I'm here. You're safe."

Finally, Alex blinked, her eyes focusing as she looked at Maggie. Her lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but no words came out. Instead, she just swallowed hard, her body curling in on itself as another shiver ran through her.

Maggie's heart ached, and she couldn't hold back any longer. She reached out, her touch light as she brushed a strand of damp hair away from Alex's face. "It's just the drop, sweetheart. All those endorphins and adrenaline are leaving your system. You're going to feel a little off for a while, but I've got you."

Alex's breath hitched at the soft, caring tone in Maggie's voice, and she nodded weakly, her body trembling again, this time with more intensity. It wasn't just physical anymore—it was emotional. Maggie could see the fragility in her eyes, the way she was trying to keep it together but failing.

"Come here," Maggie whispered, her hands gentle but firm as she reached around to untie the last of the restraints still keeping Alex tethered to the bed. The knots came undone easily, but as Maggie worked, she made sure to keep a steady hand on Alex, anchoring her in the present.

Once Alex's wrists were free, Maggie rubbed them softly, checking for any soreness or discomfort. Alex didn't pull away—if anything, she leaned into the touch, her body desperate for the grounding that Maggie was offering.

Maggie moved slowly, not rushing Alex, giving her time to adjust. "Let's get you cleaned up, okay?" Maggie suggested gently, slipping off the bed and extending her hand. "A warm shower, and then we can get you wrapped up in something cozy."

Alex blinked again, like she was trying to process what Maggie was saying, but after a moment, she nodded, her movements sluggish as she reached for Maggie's hand. Maggie's grip was firm but careful, her thumb brushing softly against Alex's knuckles as she helped her stand.
