I fucking hate him. Austin Kirkland that is, my best friends stupid brother.
"Come on now Ter' stop ya poutin'."
Did I forget to mention he's Scottish.
"I'm not pouting," I rolled my eyes and zipped up my yellow rain jacket. The weather in England is unpredictable and usually very misty.
"Oh c'mon, I kno' ya wanted tae see Arthur today, bu' he has a life too ya know," the stupid Scott smirked at me knowing how much it erked me when people assumed I was the clingy type. I'm really not. Just antisocial is all.
"I know he has his own life a part from me. That's why I don't care," I shoved my hands into my jacket pockets, avoiding the possible temptation of vripping his vocal chords out right there on the sidewalk.
"Oh really? Whot' if told ya he ditched ya for some other lassie?" I stopped walking I could feel the color drain from my face. what was he saying? Arthur doesn't want to hang around me anymore?
"He wouldn't do that," I shook my head and started walking again. Thank God my flat was only a few more blocks away.
Austin chuckled and slung an arm around my shoulders, "I'm jus' poakin' fun at ya. He's at the docs office."
I shrugged off his arm and continued walking in silence. Austin kept on, "But whot' if thee lad liked someone?"
I glanced over at Austin, unlike his blonde brother, he had natural dark red hair but he dyed it brown, if you looked close enough you could see the natural red roots. The only thing familiar to me was the jewel green eyes. Each Kirkland had them, Their sister Abby, their breath taking parents. It made me a bit jealous.
"Why are you following me home?"
"Whoa. I'm escourtin' ya, not following' ya home like a lost pup."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever. You could have just called up your limo to take you wherever. I can walk myself home."
Austin frowned, "Just because I have money don't mean I go flauntin' it around. Besides, Artie asked me to."
That perked my I interest, "Really?"
"Yea. Plus I don't mind..." Austin trailed off.
"OK, but make sure to tell him he owes me for bailing," I opened the metal gate to my flat and stepped through.
"Goodbye?"
I waved backwards and let myself into the flat. The moment I entered I was bombarded by my older sister with questions.
"Oh my gawd Terra. Was that Austin?! Did he walk you home?"
I sighed and pushed her off of me. I kicked my purple rain boots off, and shuffled into the kitchen to make a snack.
"Terra, stop ignoring me! Why was Austin, the hottest senior in school, walking you home?" Laura whined.
"Because Arthur told him to," I grunted chopping up the bright red apple.
"Because Arthur told him to?" Laura scrunched up here face.
"If it makes you feel any better, all he did was annoy me," I placed all the apple slices in a round flower pattern with drizzled honey over them.
Before Laura could ask me another annoying question about Austin the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" Laura jumped up and ran to the door. I bit into the apple slices and turned the tv on. The only thing that I truly missed about America since moving was the TV channels. They were a bit to dramatic and the women were unbareable to watch.
