The grammar in this chapter (just in season 4 in general) is quite bad because my laptop broke and I have to use my iPad :( so please correct any mistakes!

"This place smells like dead bodies." John B says quietly to the group as everyone stops in the middle of a room filled with dust, old painting and vintage looking furniture.

"I'll uh, let Wes know you're here." Chandler Groff, the son in law, says as he opens a door, "they've come, Wes." He informs the old man who quickly invites the group inside.

"Good, good. Bring them in." He rushes them, "please, warm yourselves by the fire."

Jade keeps JJ's hand in hers as they walk into the same as him as some sit on the couch and others stand around it.

"I apologise for grabbing you all out here, but I... I don't think I could speak about this in public." Mr. Genrette says, "I know I mentioned Blackbeard, but I assure you all, my interest is not for treasure." He says, his eyes lingering on JJ for some reason and then flickering to his and Jade's intertwined hands with a small smile. "My ancestor, Francis Genrette, is the British officer who caught and killed the notorious pirate." He explains, Pope's face lighting up in shock.

"Wait, wait- your direct ancestor?" He asks for clarification.

"Mm-hmm." Wes nods, "Unfortunately. After he beheaded Blackbeard, he killed the pirate's wife, Elizabeth. And since then, for 300 years, generations of Genrettes have been haunted by Elizabeth's ghost, and have died violent deaths, including my daughter."

As he says the words 'haunted' and 'violent deaths' the group looks around at each other, giving silent confused and suspicious looks. They then look at a string up painting of a younger blonde woman. "Larissa. Chandler's wife. My daughter saw Elizabeth a week before she died. Now, I've had a visitation. So, I know I don't have much time." The man explains, nearly all of the Pogues frowning in confusion and disbelief.

John B clears his throat, "Right, uh...so we're really sorry that that happened to you, but, what do you want from us?" He asks.

"Of course." Wes nods, walking closer to the group, "Let's get right down to business. Chandler." He points to the other man.

"We believe that we've found a way to break the curse on this family." He explains, "Right before she was murdered, Elizabeth begged Francis to retrieve from her husband's ship a keepsake that he'd given her. Her most prized possession. An amulet." Chandler points to a large necklace on Elizabeth's neck, seen in the image a round shape with a red crystal of some type. "He denied the request and then murdered her."

"But... if we find that amulet, fulfilling Elizabeth's last request, I believe that it will break the curse that has haunted my family for over 300 years." Wes interrupts.

"Ok, um... I'm sorry, where did you say that necklace thingy is?" Kie asks, evidently not believing the story of a 'curse'.

"Oh," chandler chuckles lightly, "Blackbeard's last ship, The Adventure. According to all records, the amulet was still on it when it was scuttled right off Goat Island."

"Right, but the Coast Guard excavated that site years ago." Pope says.

"The excavation team didn't know what we know." Mr. Genrette says, holding up an old book, "They didn't have this. There's a secret lockbox hidden behind the headboard in the captain's chamber." He passes the book to Pope who looks down at it with a frown. "Do you dive?" Wes asks.

"We dive." JJ states rather quickly, "All... all of us do." He lies, "It's just, we only do it if the price is right." He says which makes Jade look at him in shock as she drops her hand from his.
