Main Quests.

It was obvious that this was something extremely important, no matter what game one played. It could cause major changes to either the world or merely the scene where the Main Quest took place.

And in an online game like this, being able to do a Main Quest meant the person in question was not only the one leading the major changes in the game, but also someone privy to what would happen in the future, even to the point of being able to create changes that would benefit the said person.

Needless to say, almost any avid gamer would try their best to get the Main Quest and succeed in doing it...

"......"

...yet for some reason, I could not bring myself to pick the first choice.

Sure, I would like to just pick the first option immediately as Main Quest was definitely a lot more important than a normal Quest, but forsaking the [Spark of Hope 1] Quest would mean I would lose the Quest Reward from that Quest and unable to proceed any further to help the people of Dune who were suffering from the drought.

Another issue was that the second option said that there would be no immediate changes. It did not say there would be none, but that could also mean that there would be some that perhaps would affect me later in the future, and it was unclear whether it would be a positive or a negative thing.

...it makes me think that perhaps there is a connection between the two Quests.

I wanted to ask TIZ about this, but it seemed like my mouth was completely frozen solid just like before, only allowing me to select between the two choices in front of me with my mind.

After thinking for a bit longer, I could only heave a slight sigh on my mind...

"...there are monsters in the area, and the Guards were terrified to try and fight against them, so I sent them back first."

...and chose the second option, hoping that I would still be able to get the Main Quest later in the future.

"...is that so..."

"Yeah, there were quite a lot of Sandworms. I would not be surprised if Folic's items were destroyed with their rampage."

Shimm did not say anything else after that, he merely stood up and turned around, heading to the second floor in silence. After his footsteps slowly disappeared from the Guild Hall, Terian heaved a deep sigh while pinching his own forehead.

"It's not like I can't understand what that lad is feeling at the moment."

"......"

"I am not sure what his standing was in the expedition group, but to be one of those who returned safely while the others were mostly dead... it was definitely not the greatest feeling."

Terian spoke with a deep tone, as if he was the one who was currently experiencing the pain.

Then again, it was possible that he had experienced something similar, with his job as the Guild Master and everything.

"...I can only hope that his temperament would not be his downfall later in the future..."

...hey, is that a flag?

I shook off the random thought in my mind before turning to look at Terian.

"...I don't know if it will help, but I did plan to go back and find something that Folic might have abandoned in the desert."

"Are you going to take them for yourself?"

"Not a bad idea, but I might be able to find whatever it was that lured the monsters to him."
