Kashvi's pov~~

"If you've hurt something very precious to me, then it's a yes. If not, then it's not me" He said.

Before I could process or understand what was happening, he firmly said, "Let's go," his voice leaving no room for hesitation. He stood, holding my hand.

He led me out, and the moment we stepped outside, I felt a wave of relief wash over me, mingled with a lingering sense of dread.

The world outside felt brighter, but I couldn't shake the fear that had settled in my stomach.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and serious as he turned to face me, his thumb brushing over my knuckles.

"I... I don't know," I admitted, my heart racing. "What just happened back there?"

His jaw tightened, and I could see the storm brewing behind his calm demeanor. "It's nothing you need to worry about pearl."

I searched his eyes, wanting to understand him, "But they seemed scared of you?"

He sighed, his expression softening slightly. "I protect what's mine. That's all you need to know for now."

The way he said mine sent a shiver down my spine, making me acutely aware of the implications of our bond.

"Did you do that?" I asked, my voice quiet but curious.

He glanced at me, his expression unreadable. "Hmm??," he questioned.

For some reason, I couldn't stop myself from saying, "Aacha lagta agar aapne kiya hota." The words slipped out before I could think them through.

(It would've felt good if you had done it)

He raised an eyebrow at me, amused but silent, and all I could do was look away, feeling a strange mix of relief and disappointment.

As we entered the house, ishika and ivaan jumped over me with their talks.

"Bhabhi! You were coming tomorrow, right?" Ishika asked, her voice brightening the mood.

"Lagta hai bhaiya se raha nahi gaya," Ivaan teased, a smirk playing on his lips. I couldn't help but smile.

He headed straight to the room.

"Where is everyone?" I asked looking around there was huge silence.

"They went to attend some family function," Ishika explained, "Aanan bhaiyya, as usual, will not go. He said you too wouldn't go, so we thought we shouldn't either."
