Days had been passing, and the tension between Riddhima and Vansh showed no signs of subsiding.

Their routine now revolved around bickering over the smallest things-whether it was the temperature in the office or a misplaced file.

Neither of them could help it; it had become their odd little ritual.

Despite claiming they disliked each other, they seemed to be getting more and more used to each other's presence.

Unbeknownst to them, something had shifted.

Although their arguments were frequent, there were also moments of silence when their eyes would lock, the air between them thick with something neither could quite decipher.

Their intense stares spoke volumes, yet both remained stubborn, never willing to admit that perhaps they didn't dislike each other as much as they claimed.

Despite all the fiery exchanges, their thoughts were inexplicably filled with each other.

One morning, Vansh was seated in his office, sipping his coffee.

His gaze subconsciously shifted toward Riddhima's office across the hall.

She wasn't there.

Vansh frowned, glancing at his watch.

"Kamaal hai," he muttered to himself, "roz toh time pe aati hai. Aaj late ho gayi kya?"

He took another sip of his coffee, but couldn't shake the curiosity that gnawed at him.

Unable to resist, he called Angre over.

"Angre," Vansh called.

Angre turned around, greeting him, "Good morning, sir."

Vansh greeted him back with a nod and asked, "Aaj tumhari boss nahi aayi?"

Angre sighed, clearly not surprised by the question. "Well, she won't be here today."

Vansh frowned, a slight worry creeping into his expression. "Kyun? Is she all right?"

Before Angre could answer, a voice interrupted them from the doorway, and the conversation came to an abrupt halt.

Meanwhile, in her apartment, Riddhima sat on the couch, staring at her phone.

The message she had received yesterday still lingered on her screen.

It was from Kabir, her ex-husband.

He had asked to meet her and said he would visit her at the office.

The thought of facing him brought back memories she wished she could bury.

To avoid the confrontation, she had chosen not to go to the office today.

She knew she was being a coward, running away from her past instead of facing it head-on.

It wasn't as if she hadn't tried to move on; she had.

But the scars Kabir had left ran deep.

Their divorce wasn't her fault-he had cheated on her.

After being together throughout college and three years of marriage, everything had shattered.

They had been happy for 2.5 years, but then, without warning, Kabir had betrayed her.

The betrayal had left her feeling broken and guarded.

She had gone through a lot, and she knew that most people around her-including Vansh-probably found her rude, arrogant, and even a bit of a bitch.

The thought of Vansh made her chuckle as she muttered to herself, "I'm sure aaj vo bahut khush hoga ke main nahi hoon office mein. Uske saath ladne ke liye koi nahi hai."
