"I still can't believe this," Myles repeated for the hundredth time as he continued laughing.
I rolled my eyes at him, "It's not that funny," I replied again.
But he only continued laughing, holding his stomach as his chuckles grew more and more annoying.
"Where's your girlfriend at?" Chanel asked, obviously growing irritated by him too.
He raised an eyebrow, "Uhh... that's not relevant," he replied while squinting his eyes.
I blankly hummed, "Right."
Chanel had been adding the finishing touches to my makeup while Myles wandered around my room laughing at the fact I was even going out.
"Where are you guys going anyway?" Myles asked as he laid down on my bed.
I shrugged, "I don't know," I replied, realizing the fact that Corey didn't tell me where we were going.
Just that she'd pick me up at six.
And it was a little past five.
"How does she ask you on a date and not even tell you where you're going?" Myles asked, shaking his head.
"Myles, people literally do that all the time," Chanel said flatly, "If you had a girlfriend you would know."
He immediately sat up from the bed, "She doesn't even have a girlfriend," he shot back, pointing to me through the mirror.
"She's still closer than you've ever been to having one," Chanel replied, "And even before that she was dating—"
"Don't say his name," I quickly cut her off, hoping to scrub that memory from my brain.
"She's traumatized," Myles whispered.
I hummed, "But speaking of.... I found something out," I trailed off immediately gaining their attention.
"New information? Finally you haven't had something new since September," Myles said.
"Yeah cause I'm busy," I replied.
They didn't know how much effort this took.
He was right though.
"Okay never mind that, what did you find out?" Chanel questioned, bringing me out my thoughts.
I awkwardly pursed my lips, internally deciding if I should tell them this or not since this technically involved Corey.
It shouldn't matter anyways.
I sucked in a deep breath, "Hayley and Corey hooked up that's why their friend group is weird," I finally spoke, trying to simplify what Corey told me yesterday.
And I gauged both of their reactions, watching as their eyebrows immediately shot up.
"This might be the icing on the cake," Myles said first, which caused Chanel to take a step back from me.
"Okay— hold on, hooked up like how?" she questioned.
I narrowed my eyes, "How many types of hook ups are there, they hooked up hooked up," I emphasized.
I watched as Chanel's expression managed to get even more shocked, "Okay, how did it ruin that change the friend group?"
"Because she said that Lucas had a thing for her and I guess he felt betrayed at what Corey did since he was trying to get with Hayley," I replied.
"This is wild," Myles said laying back down, "And she knew he liked her?"
I shook my head, "She didn't, but he thinks that she did, so when Lucas and Hayley got together it split the group automatically, which is why they have issues." I explained.
