I knew it was wrong of me to take a younger lover. I was only two years his senior but Kakashi would never let me forget it. He would tell me it was gross to date a younger man. It was wrong to go for someone who was 16 when I was 18. I would remind him that he confessed his feelings for me when I was 16 and he was 19. He had no room to talk. I know he was just annoyed it wasn't him who my heart longed for. It was Shisui.
His smile would make the butterflies in my stomach explode. He was so caring and sweet. He put up a hard exterior but the way he cared for Itachi like a brother showed me that there was more to him. He caught my attention the first day I saw him and he has had it since.
The first time I saw him I was out to eat with Kakashi and Guy. I wasn't listening to their conversation. It was going the same way as it always went. Kakashi would talk little about his ANBU missions and Guy would desperately plea for him to leave. He would always say the ANBU was not a place for Kakashi. Kakashi always fluffed him off but I knew deep down he was listening.
I wasn't.
I had heard this every time we went out. Either Kakashi was gonna do something about it or he wasn't. I didn't understand why Guy constantly wasted his breath. Every time he started I tuned him out.
I was staring out the window when I saw him walk past. My eyes couldn't help but follow him as he walked beside another who looked similar. I knew right away they were Uchihas.
My eyes followed them as they walked into the same restaurant as us. The taller one who grabbed my attention looked around the restaurant momentarily before making his way towards us. Instantly a blush spread to my cheeks at the idea of him noticing me back. I turned my head to look back out the window. When they got closer Kakashi and Guys attention shifted to them.
"Shisui, Itachi." Kakashi acknowledged them. I was confused who they were and how he knew them. My best guess would be that they worked together. Even though these two seemed young they radiated power and strength. I could not help but lock my graze on the one who stole my attention. I was going to ask Kakashi everything about him once they left.
"You are needed." He informed Kakashi. Kakashi got up without another word. I kept my confused stare at the two boys whisking away Kakashi. The taller one looked over at me catching my graze. He gave me a soft smile. I couldn't help the blush the rose to my cheeks as I turned away. Kakashi left with the two boys leaving me alone with Guy.
"I don't like them." Guy grumbled.
"Guy it's not personal. It's his job. They are all just doing their job. You said your peace on how you feel and at some point you just need to drop it." Once they had left I felt irritated again with this topic of discussion. For some reason the presence of my stranger pushed every other emotion out the window. He was the only thing I could focus on when he was around me.
"I won't give up on him." He slammed his hand down. "I have to work harder to convince him." He gave me his signature thumbs up with giant smile before he left me alone too. My mind kept think about the smile the stranger gave me. Each time the blush returned to my face. I could not sit around day dreaming about it any longer. I had to do something about it.

It took months of convincing Kakashi for him to finally complied into being my wing man with setting me up with the one who I now knew as Shisui.
I hadn't been able to get my mind off of him. After hearing for weeks how I shouldn't go for a younger man when I had an equally older man already seeking my attention Kakashi finally gave in. I was thankful for his connection to the one driving me crazy. His smile had not left my mind. It played on a constant loop in my mind.
