As soon as they landed in Switzerland, Taehyung’s unease only intensified. Everything had been arranged exactly as Mrs. Min had promised. Their arrival at the hotel was seamless, and it seemed like the staff was already expecting them. The room keys were handed over with polite smiles, and Jungkook, as always, wore that infuriating smirk as he led the way upstairs.

Taehyung followed hesitantly, feeling a knot tighten in his stomach. He had been trying to keep his expectations neutral, hoping for a simple, non-eventful stay. But the moment Jungkook opened the door to their room, all those hopes shattered.

The sight that greeted him was a full assault on his senses. The room was drenched in romance---a setting Taehyung was utterly unprepared for. Red heart-shaped balloons floated above, gently bobbing along the ceiling. The air was thick with the scent of fragrant candles, their soft glow casting an intimate light across the space. Taehyung’s eyes widened in disbelief as he took in the rose petals scattered over the bed, forming a perfect heart shape on the crisp white sheets.

His heart skipped a beat. This wasn’t just a romantic setting---it was the kind of setup meant for honeymooners, for couples who were deeply in love and eager to spend their time together in intimacy. But that wasn’t them. This was wrong. All wrong.

Jungkook’s smirk only deepened as he glanced around the room, clearly amused by the over-the-top display. He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, his gaze flickering toward Taehyung, who was still frozen in place, completely stunned.

"Well," Jungkook drawled, his voice low and teasing, "looks like Auntie really went all out for us, huh?"

Taehyung swallowed hard, trying to process everything. The sight of the bed covered in rose petals made his face burn with embarrassment. His legs felt weak, and for a moment, he wondered if he might just collapse right there. He couldn’t understand why Mrs. Min had thought this would be a good idea.

"This... this is too much," Taehyung finally managed to say. He didn’t dare meet Jungkook’s eyes, knowing that if he did, he would see that glint of amusement---the one that always made him feel like Jungkook was playing a game he didn’t understand.

Jungkook pushed off the doorframe and casually strolled into the room, his eyes sweeping over the decorations. "Too much?" he echoed, his tone light, but there was an edge to it. "Maybe. But we’re here now, aren’t we?"

Taehyung’s heart was pounding in his chest, and he shifted nervously from foot to foot, unsure of what to do next. His eyes darted around the room, trying to avoid the bed, but it was impossible not to notice how everything was screaming "romance" and "intimacy." His thoughts were racing, filled with anxiety about what Jungkook might expect now that they were alone in this overly romantic setting.

Jungkook stopped beside the bed, picking up a rose petal and twirling it between his fingers. "I guess we should thank Auntie for setting the mood," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, though there was something darker beneath it. "She really thought of everything."

Taehyung stood there, feeling trapped. He knew there was no way he could share this space with Jungkook, not with the tension between them. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart, but his mind was a whirlwind of uncertainty.

"I… I need some air," Taehyung said abruptly, turning on his heel and heading for the door, hoping to escape the suffocating atmosphere of the room, if only for a moment.

Jungkook watched him go, his eyes narrowing slightly, but he didn’t say anything. He simply let Taehyung leave, the smirk still playing on his lips as if he were waiting for something. Waiting for Taehyung to come back. Because in the end, they both knew there was no running from this.
