My eyes were already dry from not taking it off the papers on my table and I felt like my wrists and fingers were about to snap from typing nonstop.
My hands halted from signing a document upon hearing her, and then I slowly lifted my head to meet her.
"Fix your pronunciation, Danica," I told my secretary using a serious tone.
She gulped. "Hindi po. Si Sir Wren po talaga nasa baba."
I froze and my heart took a leap.
Danica and I stared back at each other because it took me a lot of time to process, and then I stood up in terror with my heart pounding against my chest.
"Tell him to leave!" I shouted to my secretary, who nodded her head and hurried her way out in panic.
I bit my lip because I felt sorry for shouting at her, but it was quickly overwhelmed by agitation.
Anong ginagawa ng lalaking 'yon dito!?
I started pacing by and forth while biting my fingers and taking glances to the door from time to time—waiting for my secretary to tell me she succeeded in shooing him away.
But instead, I got a vibration from my iPad as a notification popped up.
Picking it up from my desk, I checked out a message from the fake instagram account I created, but I frowned because it was from a business page.
@tapa_del1cious4sale: Ako 'to si Wren.
My brows furrowed even more in total confusion, until another message came.
@tapa_del1cious4sale: Ito proweba.
He sent a picture of him doing a peace sign in the lobby of my company with my secretary behind him massaging her forehead in distress, looking like she was about to cry.
My nostrils flared as I took a deep breath and frantically typed on my iPad for a reply.
@sky_24: Get out!
How did he even find my account!?
I watched him type through the three dots on the bottom left corner of the screen, but then the door suddenly swung open and my secretary walked in with her chest rapidly rising.
"Ma'am, ayaw niya talaga umalis," she informed while trying to catch her own breath.
