We are pleased to announce that Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa have successfully renewed their contracts with us, continuing their journey with BLACKPINK. However, we regret to inform you that our main rapper, Kim Jennie, has decided to terminate her contract with YG Entertainment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jennie for her contributions to the group and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
BLACKPINK will continue to perform and promote as a three-member group for the time being. We remain committed to supporting Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa as they embark on this new chapter.

Taehyung's POV
“ Noona, what’s happening? Is that all true? Why isn’t Jennie answering my calls?! ” I asked desperately, my voice cracking as I paced the dorm room, anxiety bubbling up like a boiling pot. I frantically searched every corner, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, a sign that she was still here, that this was all some cruel joke.
Jisoo stood there, her eyes filled with a mix of pity and sorrow. She didn’t say anything at first, and the silence stretched uncomfortably between us, heavy and suffocating.
“ Please, for God’s sake! Just tell me what’s going on! Where’s Jennie? Is she with you? Tell her to talk to me right now! ” I pleaded again, my heart racing, panic rising in my throat as I continued to check under the beds and behind the curtains. “She wouldn’t just leave like this!”
Finally, Jisoo’s gaze dropped to the floor, her voice trembling as she spoke, " Taehyung, Jennie asked me not to tell you anything, but... actually... " Her hesitation was palpable, and I could see her struggling to find the right words, like she was fighting against a tidal wave of emotions.
“ What? Just say it! ” I urged, desperation edging my voice. “I need to know! What did she say?”
She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. " She’s been planning this for a few days. She told us about terminating her contract... She didn’t want you and your career to be ruined because of her. That’s why she left YG, and she... she... left K-pop for... forever."
I froze, my heart sinking. The words felt surreal, echoing in my mind. "Forever?" I asked again, my voice barely above a whisper, as if saying it louder would somehow change the reality of the situation.
“ She... left K-pop as well as... K-Korea for everyone’s sake, ” Jisoo said, her voice breaking as tears welled in her eyes. The sight of her pain only intensified my own.
