It was now the day of our reunion—our senior highschool reunion. I'm excited to see the people that's been part of my life and help me to be what I am right now. I would be able to meet them again and their success in life.
Even with all those excitements and joy of seeing them again, there's still the fear inside me. I'll meet again those people that I already cut ties with, those who did nothing but too hurt me and ruined me. Was I ready to face them again?
As I stared blankly at the ceiling, a notification from my phone startled me. It was Reina—one of my friends since highschool, messaged me in my Instagram.
raingonz: gurl, what time ka pupunta?
sczekainaferrer: nag re-ready pa ako, and’yan ka naba?

The party will start at 8 PM, and here I am, still in my pajamas. I quickly headed into the shower, took a bath and get ready. I just wore something casual yet elegant, so I picked my white sleeveless top, it's pretty open in the middle but it doesn't expose my cleavage part. I paired it with a white plain pleated pants and a black heels. I just styled my hair in bun and put some accesories and I was ready to go. I hopped on my car and drove on the way to the venue.
The place is pretty huge. The decorations and the set is so nice—a real definition of perfection I must say. I headed inside and saw that there were plenty of people already, my eyes scanned to the people inside, they look so successful now. Makikita mo talaga sa mga kasuotan palang at mga postura nila na umangat talaga sila sa buhay at natupad ang mga pangarap nila. Habang nakatingin ako sa mga tao sa paligid ko, I saw Rein walking towards me, she's holding a glass of wine and she looks like she's enjoying.
“Ang elegante naman ng dating ni ante coco namin!” she sarcastically said “Ganyan ba talaga effect kapag excited na makita ang ex?” she chuckles
I rolled my eyes “Gaga! I'm here to enjoy kaya. Besides, di na ako aasa doon. I already moved on”
She shrugged “Okay, sabi mo e”
Reina brought me in the table wherein my friends are sitting. Ilang taon din kaming hindi nagkasama nila. We're all so busy with our works kaya hindi na kami nakakapag-bonding. We all had a lot of catching up to do.
“Kamusta naman kayo ni Nate?” Iana asked
“Oo nga, I'm sure stay strong pa din kayo until now” Stacey followed
I fell silent. Only Reina knew everything that had happened, paano naman kase, siya lang lagi kong nakakasama. My chest began to feel heavy, and the pain is continue growing. I feel like I was stabbed in the heart, or someone crushed it into pieces. Sa isang tanong na iyon, bumalik lahat ng sakit na maramdaman ko at hirap na dinanas ko. Everytime I talked about him, I just can't stop my tears from falling.
“uh...” I said, trying to think an alibi I could say to them.
“Break na sila, 2 years ago na. Nag cheat e” Reina said.
“WHAT?” Deo look shocked “What the fuck!?”
“I can't believe it! he cheated?” Stacy questioned “Kanino?”
“Well...” Reina shrugged and look at me. I know she want me to be the one telling them everything.
Just then, everyone in my table turned their gaze to someone behind me. I looked at it to see who it was, and my body began to froze. My heart sank as I watched him walking in front and smiling to everyone while holding someone's hand.
“Si KATHRINA?” Iana asked loudly
Dali daling tinakpan ni Deo ang bibig ni Iana sa kaniyang kamay. Nang binaba na ni Deo ang kaniyang mga kamay sa bibig ni Iana ay tumingin ito nang masama sa kaniya.
“Oh bakit?” Deo asked, looking confused
“Anong bakit? sapakin kita jan e!” Iana shouted
“Ang lakas din naman kase ng boses mo ante” inis na sabi naman ni Stacey
Iana rolled her eyes “Sorry naman po, na shock lang naman ako!”
He looks so happy with her, pero bakit? Bakit ang unfair naman ni universe sa akin? He was mine first, I got him first. Ako yung una e, pero bakit ‘di ako yung huli? bakit di ako ang endgame?
He walk towards our direction, when he saw me from a distance he waved and give me a warm smile. Pabilis nang pabilis ang paglalakad niya na ‘di ko na namalayang nasa harap ko na siya.
“Hi, Maui” he smiled and brushed a few strands of hair in my face. My body froze again, and my jaw is just open. Wala akong mailabas na salita.
“Mapapasukan talaga bibig mo ng langaw niyan te” birong sabi ni Iana
“Hi” I replied and formed a smile in my face.
Umalis na siya pagkatapos niyang batiin at kamustahin rin ang mga kaibigan ko. Naging close din naman nila kase si Nate for a very long time kahit nong hindi pa kami.
Reina elbowed me “I already moved on pala ah”
“Totoo naman ah” I said
“Oo nga naman” she smirked, as if she was teasing me. “Totoo nga talaga” with both her hands form a quotation sign
I rolled my eyes at her “Whatever.”
