MORNINGS WERE NEVER Matilda's forte, not that they were anyone's. But God! The blaring of an alarm in her ear at seven in the morning? That was just cruel.

Slamming her hand onto the alarm clock in attempts to shut it up, Tilly tried to retain atleast five more minutes of sleep.

But as her brain began switching on, she soon remebered that today was in fact — her first day of college.

So rolling out of her overly comfortable bed with a sigh; she made her way to her younger sisters bedroom. "Arabella! Wake up!"

Matilda's little sister was much like her, even at a young age she was already so disrupted with the fucked up life everyone around them seemed to lead.

"Already up" Tilly heard the yell from the downstairs kitchen.

Arabella was only seven years old yet so capable of taking care of herself, maybe it was the whole 'no real guardian' thing — or maybe she was just incredibly smart for her age.

Tilly's next stop was her older brothers bedroom. Banging hard onto the door, she heard a groan come from the inside, "Go away Tills!"

"You've got work fuckface" Mickey (Or as stated on his birth certificate, Michael LaLaine) and Matilda always had a special bond, they were the only two people in their life to actually understand eachother.

It really didn't take Tilly long to get ready. All she head to do was brush her teeth, put an outfit on and do her hair; which she'd managed to master completing in under an hour over the years of being the only mother figure in the household.

She dressed herself in an extremely short cream denim skirt, a black angel baby tee which ended just above her belly button, and of course her black doc martin's.

Obviously not forgetting the mountain of bracelets, necklaces and rings she needed on her at all times!

After adding some extra eyeliner, Matilda headed downstairs into the living room; where her mother lay asleep on the couch. "Hey mum, it's my first day of college today"

Tilly knew her mum struggled with a lot of things; but surely it wouldn't hurt to take care of her youngest at least?

She wasn't sure what reaction she was hoping to get out of the woman laying infront of her, but all she did get was a nod and a smile as she rose up from her sleeping postion.

Glancing over at the clock Tilly noticed it was now a quarter past eight and Arabella had to out the door by eight on the dot. "Arabella! Hurry up dickhead!"

"Don't call your sister a dickhead. She's only five!" Their mother laughed as she smoked a cigarettes on the couch, making Matilda close her eyes and shake her head; She is seven.

Arabella ran into the living room, planting a quick kiss onto her mothers temple before sticking her tongue out at her older sister and fleeing out the front door.

AFTER FINALLY GETTING out of her own house, Matilda made her way into her second home that sat only next door to hers; The Stonems.

Elizabeth Stonem met Matilda LaLaine before they became Tilly and Effy, becoming friends at the ripe age of nine.

And seemingly that year was the year that mischief in the Stonem house grew larger.

The girls both had a nack for doing bad things; breaking the rules. So naturally, they became each others bad influences.

"Goodmorning Stonems!" Tilly yelled as she entered through the red front door, clutching her black juicy couture bag under her arm.

All she got from Mr. Stonem was a pat on the shoulder as he walked out to the car but Anthea was happy enough to hug the girl.

There was no messing about since her and Effy rushed into the car, anticipating their first day at their new college.

Effy and Tilly both had the same effect of everyone and everything around them; Girls wanted to be them and boys wanted to sleep with them. And that's how they liked it.

Hearing the click of a lighter Effy immediately turned in her seat to look at her best friend who sat in the back with a freshly lit cigarette, "Pass me one, will you Tills? Went through my last packet this morning"

And almost immediately after Effy lit her own cigarette, Jim Stonem went on a tangent, "You know how bad smoking is for you girls? When I was your age my mother would've beat me black and blue for smoking! Black and blue I tell you!"

But as it seemed, his rant was cut short when he crashed into a fire hydrant making the two girls giggle and high five.

Much like a lot of the places that the two girls went Tilly noticed two boys sitting at a table looking at them as they smoked out of the windows of the car.

Effy seemed to be locked in eye contact with the dark haired one causing Tilly to laugh and think about the wonders that the year ahead would bring.

But her thoughts got cut short when she heard a different boy come out of nowhere, apparently profusely bleeding from the head, "I was signaling you, you just kept coming"

This year was definitely going to be intresting.

It was now Effys turn to notice the locked eyes that her best friend held onto the bleeding boy who was in an argument with her father, "He's all yours Tills, As long as you leave him to me"

Tilly face took up a devious grin and winked at the dark haired girl in the front seat.

It didn't take long for the bleeding boy to notice the girls in the car, Matilda especially. His eyes were now glued to hers, making his day all the better.

The two girls soon hopped out of the vehicle and began to walk to the college. But before they could go any further, Tilly stopped infront of the boy and ran her finger down the blood on his face.

Placing the finger into her mouth Tilly (As  she suspected) tasted ketchup, which brought a smirk to the girls lips, "Mhm" She node in satisfaction, knowing she'd just confirmed her own thoughts. She took a lot of pleasure in being right.

All while this went on, Effy just stood near by continuing her eyecontact with the boy the two girls had agreed was her own.

After giving the 'bleeding' boy one final look up and down, Tilly grabbed Effys hand and headed to their destination as the two girls laughed at how eventful their morning had already been.
