Chapter 1

1990

Melanie

"We are getting a new drummer for the band," my brother Kurt said.
"Cool," I said. My brother Kurt is in a band called Nirvana they are fairly well know. Kurt is 23 and I am 19. I have green eyes and have dark brown hair i also have freckles and I am 5'7. Kurt likes me to watch his band practice. The funny thing is Kurt and i are pretty close. Kurt and I got into his car and drove to Krist's house. Krist would have to get one of the craziest people i know but he's also know of my best friends.
"Look who finally decided to show up," Krist said when he opened the door.
"Were only 5 minutes late you dipshit," Kurt said. Krist just laughed and we went to the basement. I went and sat on the old couch and Krist and Kurt started playing.
"Play stairway go heaven," I begged since it was my favourite song.
"Fine," they both said. Just after they had finished playing the basement door opened and a guy came in. He was about 6'0 and had fairly long dark brown almost black hair and really dark brown eyes.
"You must be Dave the new drummer," Kurt said.
"Yea i am," he said and bit his lip.
"Well I am Kurt," Kurt said.
"I am Krist and that is my hot sexy girlfriend," Krist said putting his arm around me
"Yea in your dreams," I said pushing his arm off me.
"I am Melanie Kurt's younger sister but you can call me Mel," I said.
"Nice to meet you guys," Dave said looking at me. They got Dave to play some songs on the drums. Dave was really good. After a while they got dave to stop playing.
"Welcome to Nirvana," Kurt said.
"Thank you so much," Dave said.
"I am hungry," Krist complained.
"Of course you are," I said. I looked over at Kurt who was just starring at the wall lately Kurt has been kind of spaced out. We walked up to the kitchen to get some food. David left after a bit since he had to go to the dentist.
"I am going home since I am tired. Don't do anything stupid," I said and left.
"I am home mom," I called out when I got inside.
"Hey Mel could you come help me with dinner," my mom called out. I went and helped my mum make dinner. After dinner I went to my room. At about 8:30 Kuet came into my room
"Krist is throwing this massive party," Kurt said.
"Ok I will be downstairs in a few minutes. I put on my doc martins, some blue jeans and a thick jacket i didn't bother putting on a the shirt on underneath since i wasn't planning on taking off my jacket. Kurt and I said bye to mum and left for the party. When we walked into the party it was wild there were drunk people everywhere, people were throwing food and some guy was feeling his girlfriend in the corner of the room. I got a beer and decided to sit on the couch.
"Hey," someone said behind me. I turned around and Dave was there.
"Hey," I said back.
"Anyone sitting here," he asked.
"Nope," I said. Dave was so hot. We got talking and by 11:30 we were both drunk.
"Let's play 7 minutes of heaven," Krist called out. We all gathered in a circle.
"Ok going first is Mel and Dave," Krist said laughing. Dave and I got into the closet which was fairly big. I got up and tripped luckily Dave caught me. I looked up into his dark eyes. Dave kissed me I kissed him back. Next thing we are making out Dave takes off my jacket so I am just in my bra and jeans but I don't care. I take off Dave's top and we continue making out. I feel his warm body pressed against mine. He starts kissing down my neck then finds the right spot. Dave starts sucking on my skin giving me goosebumps.
"Dave," i moan as he continues. I wrap my arms around him and he pulls me closer to him. Suddenly the closet door opens and everyone starts laughing. We stop and I quickly put on my jacket. I ran to an upstairs bedroom and locked the door.
"Shit," I yelled.
