EMMA, MCKENNA AND CHARLOTTE strolled down the busy shopping district, popping in and out of stores as they laughed, browsed, and tried on everything from statement jewelry to oversized sunglasses. Emma had her arms full of bags already-she'd found a few tour-ready outfits she couldn't resist-and Charlotte was working on convincing mckenna to splurge on a pair of boots she'd been eyeing all morning.

As they wandered into a cozy boutique with racks of vintage pieces and trendy accessories, Charlotte nudged McKenna, a glint of curiosity in her eyes. "alright, Kenny, spill. how's it going with you and Vinnie?"

McKenna, caught a little off-guard, tried to hide her smile, but the blush on her cheeks gave her away. She looked down, pretending to browse through a rack of jackets. "what do you mean?" she asked innocently, though her tone was already betraying her excitement.

"oh, please," Charlotte said, giving her an exaggerated eye roll. "i've seen the way he looks at you. don't pretend like nothing's going on!"

Emma laughed, watching the two of them with amusement. She loved how Charlotte could never resist playing the detective when it came to her friends' love lives. "yeah, c'mon, Kenny," she teased. "it's been, what, a few months now? you can tell us if he's winning you over."

McKenna sighed, but she was smiling now. "fine. things are... going well," she admitted, her voice a little softer. she picked up a colorful scarf, nervously twisting it in her hands. "he's sweet, you know? really thoughtful."

"the other night, he showed up with a whole picnic for us to have on my rooftop. just candles and blankets and a ridiculous amount of snacks." Emma and Charlotte both let out a collective "aww" as McKenna laughed, shaking her head at their reaction.

"see?" Emma said, a smug smile on her face. "i knew he was a good one. i always told you he had a soft side under all that cool-guy bravado." McKenna shrugged, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "yeah, well... i didn't expect him to be so... romantic. he's full of surprises, honestly."
