Disclaimer: I made a few characters fit in the story. Also some parts are cringe (my opinion) and I'm sure y'all will see it.
I'm practicing my English grammar by making novels and oneshots' . If you notice i'm copying a fellow author's writing style. that's all, enjoy !(≧▽≦)

— 001 | An ache in the heart ••
~•~
Takemichi sat quietly in the bustling classroom, his gaze lingering on Mitsuya from across the room. It was the same as always — Mitsuya who was sitting with a few friends, sketching something in his notebook, lost in his own world.
The peaceful look on his face, the way his hands moved so effortlessly over the paper, it was all too familiar. And yet, every time Takemichi saw him, his chest tightened.
Takemichi had known Mitsuya for a while now. They were friends, close enough to hang out casually, but not so close that Mitsuya would ever notice the silent longing Takemichi carried with him.
Mitsuya was always kind, always smiling, but there was a certain distance between them, a gap Takemichi didn’t know how to cross
The bell rang, and everyone started packing up their things. Mitsuya stood up, slinging his bag over his shoulder, and as usual, he flashed Takemichi a friendly smile before heading out of the classroom.
Takemichi’s heart skipped a beat, just like it always did. He wanted to say something, anything, but the words never came. Instead, he just watched as Mitsuya left the room, blending into the crowd of students in the hallway.
Takemichi sighed, shoving his books into his bag. It wasn’t like he could change anything. Mitsuya is currently pleased. He had a girlfriend.
Lei was perfect for him, in every possible way. She was beautiful, confident, smart, and kind. They had been dating for a few months now, and from what Takemichi had seen, they were great together. A almost perfect couple on campus.
Mitsuya was always smiling when he talked about her, and she seemed to care about him just as much. Takemichi hated how much it hurt to see them together. It was irrational, he knew that. Mitsuya had never given him a reason to think he could feel the same way.
They were just friends, and Takemichi wasn’t going to ruin that by admitting to something that would only make things awkward. But that didn’t stop the ache in his chest from growing stronger every time Mitsuya smiled at Lei, every time he gently took her hand or leaned in to whisper something that made her laugh.
“Hey, Takemitchy! You coming?” Yamagishi’s voice snapped Takemichi out of his thoughts. His friend was already waiting by the door, waving him over.
