"Like, la-la-li, la-la-li, It's not hard, I'm la-la-li"

She woke up to the sound of her phone and when she looked at it, it's past 10 am, it's her friend Jaimee calling. She answered the phone though she's not fully awake yet.

"You better be calling for something important, I'm in the middle of my sleep and you're disturbing me" while eyes still close and with a hoarse voice.

'"You should be enjoying your brunch by now, aren't you on vacation?" she asked on the other line.

"I had an emergency meeting with my client last night and it took until dawn to finish" she told her trying to get fully awake

"Well, I am in an emergency situation. Seventeen has a concert coming up here in the Philippines and I haven't gotten a ticket yet. I've been trying to book a ticket online but just no luck. I need your help badly!" She yaps over the phone on a high pitch tone, I guess that's an emergency.

I am a carat myself but not as active anymore because I was taken away from my boys by my work! And just so happen that I am friends with someone that works in the Entertainment Company that handles the ticket sales for International concert and so happen to be the one organising the upcoming Seventeen concert.

"I'll ask Meg for tickets, if there are still available seats, I'll get two for us both. I need a break too and I'll be needing my Boo's energy!"

"Aren't you supposed to be on a break, you're in Boracay for Pete's sake. Enjoy the beach, look for boys in the area and please, don't turn on your laptop. You shouldn't have brought that with you." She continued to complain about my job, or maybe just my client because I rarely get breaks now from work. And I often cancel our appointments whenever we need to meet due to an emergency at work.

I work as a Virtual Executive Assistant to the CEO of Espressivo, an Italian chain of restaurants and as a Social Media Manager. We have a couple of restaurants in different cities located in high end hotels. Though I am supposed to be on a vacation after finishing one of our projects, a new one is coming up again as discussed at last night's meeting. We're about to transition and a new boss will take over the project, and a possibility of opening a new chain here in the Philippines. I'll be busy again once it gets finalised so before that happens, I need a good break and Seventeen is a very much energy booster that can help me replenish my energy.

"I'll try my best to get us a ticket so stop complaining already. I'll bring you good shell accessories when I get back to Manila" I told her.

"You better be, get me pink ones"

"Alright, I will." and we ended the call.

I tried to get back to sleep so I can enjoy a good night later at the bar that I found near the hotel I'm staying at. I'm not a heavy drinker but I can enjoy a good cocktail.

It's my last day here in Boracay and my flight will be at night. It's September and the weather today is not too hot. I am just planning to lay by the beach under the shade of the coconut tree, enjoy the peace and quiet while listening to the sound of the sea. But the guy I met at the bar last night saw me at the hotel lobby and invited himself to join. I should have said no but he was a gentleman last night, didn't cross the line at all so I thought why not, he works in Finance, another connection so maybe I will need some help in the future, you never know.
