"Much deeper, deeper, deeper than friendship
Maybe this is a love song, yeah (Love song, yeah)"

Jiwon muttered under her breath, "You don't have to drop me" while avoiding eye contact, which only made Eunseok smile

Jiwon muttered under her breath, "You don't have to drop me" while avoiding eye contact, which only made Eunseok smile.

It had been two days since they confessed their feelings to each other, and ironically, two days since they'd been dodging each other. Their complicated past made their newfound love feel almost surreal.

Eunseok's gentle voice broke the silence, a stark contrast to his usual cold tone. "I'm heading to the hospital too. Why don't we go together?" Jiwon's gaze flickered to his, her cheeks warming as she nodded, her voice barely audible.

As they drove through the city streets, the initial tension that had been hanging in the air began to dissipate, replaced by a comforting silence that enveloped them like a warm blanket.

Eunseok glanced over at Jiwon, catching her watching him with an intensity that made his heart skip a beat. Their eyes met briefly, and Jiwon's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink as she hastily looked away.

Eunseok cleared his throat, his nervousness momentarily getting the better of him, and awkwardly tapped the steering wheel before speaking up.

"Am I your boyfriend now?" he asked, his bold question hanging in the air like a challenge. Jiwon's eyes widened in surprise, "what" she trailed off, her voice rising in confusion.

"What do you mean by what? We both love each other," he exclaimed, his words tumbling out. Eunseok's calm demeanor provided a stark contrast to Jiwon's panicked state, and he replied with a soothing gentleness that belied his own racing heart.

"We can't be just friends when we love each other, angel" he muttered, his voice low and husky.

Jiwon's lips parted in surprise, and she bit down on them, her embarrassment evident. "I guess" she mumbled, her voice barely audible. "You are," she added, her words tumbling out in a rush, making Eunseok's face break into a radiant smile.

Jiwon's frustration boiled over, and she exclaimed, "Ugh, why am I like this? I'm so sorry, Eun; I'm so new to this, and I don't really know-" But Eunseok cut her off mid-sentence, his voice filled with amusement.

"Eun" he repeated, his eyes sparkling with delight. Jiwon's confusion deepened, and she asked, "Eun? What about it?" Eunseok shook his head, a smile still playing on his lips. "I like it when you call me Eun" he admitted, his voice filled with warmth.

"Oh" her heart skipping a beat. She couldn't shake off the feeling that everything was still a dream, and she questioned, "I honestly still feel like everything's a dream" Eunseok nodded in understanding, his expression empathetic.

"I'm not going to lie, Jiwon," he began, his voice low and husky. "I still feel like you're Min Jiwon, my childhood best friend who's always been away from my mafia world."

His words made Jiwon's brow furrow, her frown deepening. She hadn't expected him to bring up his past, especially not the part about his involvement with the mafia.

But Eunseok continued, his voice gentle, "And I can't believe you're finally mine." The sincerity in his tone made Jiwon's heart beat tremendously, like it was going to burst out of her chest. She felt overwhelmed, unsure of how to process this whirlwind of emotions.

What was happening? Jiwon wondered, her mind reeling. Her heart had never raced this much before, not even when she was running for her life.
