The bridge of the U.S.S. Orville was a flurry of activity. Alarms blared, and the crew scrambled to respond to the latest threat from the Kaylon fleet. Captain Ed Mercer stood resolute at the helm, eyes fixed on the viewscreen, where enemy ships flickered ominously in the depths of space.

"Prepare to fire photon torpedoes!" Ed commanded, his voice steady even as the tension in the air thickened. The crew executed his orders with practiced precision, their faces illuminated by the flashing lights of the console.

"Captain, the Kaylon are regrouping!" Lieutenant Bortus reported, his deep voice cutting through the chaos. "They're adapting their strategy."

"Then we need to change ours," Ed said, gripping the edge of his command chair. "Set a course for—"

Before he could finish, the ship shook violently, throwing everyone off balance. The viewscreen flickered, displaying a strange, swirling vortex that materialized out of nowhere.

"What the—?" Ed barely had time to process the anomaly when a blinding light enveloped him.

In an instant, the bridge of the Orville vanished, replaced by an unfamiliar landscape. Ed blinked against the brightness, squinting to make sense of his surroundings. He found himself standing in the middle of a bustling New York City street, the air thick with the sounds of traffic and distant voices. Skyscrapers towered around him, and an enormous banner overhead proclaimed, "Welcome to Avengers Tower."

"Great," Ed muttered to himself, brushing dust off his uniform. "What just happened?"

Suddenly, a sharp voice cut through the noise. "You! Yes, you there!" A figure emerged from the crowd—a tall, cloaked figure with an unsettling grin. Strange Supreme. Ed recognized him from the legends he had encountered during his travels. The dark sorcerer's eyes glinted with malicious intent.

"Strange Supreme!" Ed shouted, instinctively preparing for a fight. But before he could react, the sorcerer raised a hand, summoning a swirling portal behind him.

"Welcome to my domain, Captain Mercer. Let's see how well you fare in a world where heroes are mere playthings!" With a swift kick, Strange Supreme propelled Ed into the portal.

Weightless and disoriented, Ed tumbled through a kaleidoscope of colors, feeling as if he were being stretched and pulled in every direction. Just as suddenly as it began, the sensation stopped, and Ed crashed to the ground, landing hard on concrete.

"Ugh," he groaned, pushing himself up. His surroundings were chaotic: people in costumes darted past him, and debris from a nearby explosion littered the street. Ed shook his head, trying to gather his bearings. "What the hell is going on?"

As he looked around, he spotted a familiar figure racing towards him—an agile woman with fiery determination in her eyes. She wore a sleek black suit adorned with vibrant blue accents.

"Are you alright?" she asked, concern etched across her face. "You look a little out of place."

"I think I might be," Ed replied, catching his breath. "I'm Captain Ed Mercer of the Orville. I was just in a battle with the Kaylon—"

"Kaylon? You mean those robotic enemies?" she interrupted, her eyes narrowing. "We have bigger problems. I'm Lucy, by the way."

"Lucy? Do you know where I am?" Ed asked, scanning the area. He could hear distant explosions and the unmistakable sounds of chaos.

"You're in the middle of a battle against Loki and Strange Supreme," she explained urgently. "They're trying to take over this city, and if we don't stop them, the entire world could fall."

Ed's mind raced. "But how do we even begin to fight against them? I was just thrown here by Strange Supreme."

Lucy's expression hardened with resolve. "Then we need to find the Avengers. They'll know what to do. But first, we have to get out of this street before we're caught in the crossfire."

Ed nodded, adrenaline pumping through his veins. "Lead the way."

As they moved through the chaos of the city, Ed couldn't shake the feeling that he had been thrown into the middle of something far larger than himself. But alongside Lucy, he was determined to figure it out—if only to find a way back to the Orville and his crew.

Little did they know, their adventure was just beginning, and the fate of not just their worlds but the entire multiverse hung in the balance.
