Ye Yun raised an eyebrow and casually flicked the dog's ear.

"When Niangao came to me, it was just as small; after raising it for so long, it really feels like a child."

"Xiuyi is joking. We know you like Niangao, and that's enough. If this gets out, it wouldn't sound good, would it?" Liang Momo smiled in response.

The Fourth Prince is of royal blood; how could he be compared to a dog as a brother?

Although Niangao is indeed very cute and clever.

"Alright, alright, I won't say anything more." Ye Yun seemed to compromise, releasing the dog, wiping her hands, and then playing with her son for a while.

Before long, footsteps were heard outside.

Luzhi lifted the curtain and entered, saying, "Xiuyi, Suqin from the Empress's side has arrived."

"Someone from the Empress?" Ye Yun was puzzled for a moment.

Luzhi nodded, "Yes, Suqin said it's about the Fourth Prince's full moon banquet. There are some details the Empress would like to ask your opinion on."

Upon hearing this, Ye Yun's eyes flickered.

Finally, she handed the child to the wet nurse and said, "Let her in."

Before long, Suqin was brought in.

She also greeted them politely first.

"There's no need for that." Ye Yun waved her hand, showing no smile on her face. "The Fourth Prince's full moon banquet is being held together with the Third Princess at Qionghua Hall. The Emperor told me this early on, so everything will follow the arrangements of the Empress and the Ministry of Internal Affairs; there is no need to specifically ask me anything."

Suqin didn't expect to be rejected right away and felt a bit awkward.

After an awkward laugh, she said, "Even though someone is managing the arrangements, you, Xiuyi, are the Fourth Prince's biological mother. The Empress also thinks that the Fourth Prince and the Third Princess were born on different occasions. Even if they are held together, there should at least be some distinction, shouldn't there?"

"What could be different?" Ye Yun gave her a cold smile, glancing at her with insincerity. "They are all the Emperor's bloodline and must address the Empress as their legitimate mother. The Fourth Prince and the Third Princess are the same; Her Majesty should handle everything according to protocol."

She paused, then leaned forward slightly, curling her lips as she looked straight at her.

"I'm young and inexperienced, so I wouldn't dare offer guidance. Since the Empress is in charge, there surely won't be any issues, right, Miss Suqin?"

Suqin, feeling uneasy under Ye Yun's piercing gaze, quickly lowered her head to avoid it.

Forcing a smile, she said, "Of course, the Empress is most affectionate towards the children."

Only then did Ye Yun slowly withdraw her gaze and signal to the side with her eyes.

Huiyue immediately stepped forward. "Since Sister Suqin has nothing more to discuss and Xiuyi has spoken for quite some time and must be tired, I'll escort you out."

"Very well, I'll take my leave then." Suqin bowed to Ye Yun before being escorted out by Huiyue.

Normally, wherever she went, she would be respectfully seen off after finishing her message. Although Huiyue, the chief palace maid, personally escorted her today, it was clear that she was being sent away, almost hurried out.
