"I'll never forget the day my world shattered. Arnav's betrayal cut deeper than any knife.

'How could you, Arnav?' I asked, my voice trembling, barely holding back the tears. 'I thought I knew you.'

His eyes were filled with a desperate plea for understanding, but beneath that, I saw something else—guilt.

'Samayra, please—' he began, his voice shaky.

But Ishanya didn't let him finish. Her tone was sharp, unwavering, as she stepped between us. 'You've broken her trust, Arnav. You don't deserve her.'

I stared at him, searching his face for answers, for the man I thought I knew. 'What happened to the person I loved?' My voice cracked with the weight of the question.

Arnav's face twisted in agony. 'I'm still that person, Samayra. I made a mistake, but—'

'Enough, Arnav.' Ishanya cut him off, her arm wrapping protectively around me. 'You've hurt her enough.'

My chest felt tight, anger and heartbreak colliding as I forced out the words I never thought I'd say. 'GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT.'

As he turned to leave, a piece of my heart felt like it was being torn away with him. The man I loved was gone, replaced by a stranger I didn't recognize anymore.

Ishanya's hand tightened on my shoulder, steadying me. 'Let's go, Samayra. You don't need him.'

But I couldn't move. My legs felt like they were stuck in place, my eyes still fixed on the door Arnav had just walked through.

The silence that followed was suffocating. Ishanya's words echoed in my mind: 'You don't need him.'

But... did I really believe that?"
