Gianna contemplated her actions after Rafe left. She laid on her bed, eyes fixated on the ceiling as she reminisced the feeling of his touch on her bare body and how electricity went through her veins every time she though about it, she didn't know how she didn't get electrocuted by him.
After their shower, Rafe got his clothes and left. He didn't say why, or where he was going, he simply said "I need to go," and he did. He also didn't bother explaining to Gianna why his face had been caved in when he appeared at her doorstep.
Perhaps some things were better left unsaid, because what you didn't know couldn't hurt you.
But it felt bitter nonetheless. The two had just had sex for the... something-th time, and yet the boy couldn't spare five minutes to explain what had happened instead of basically just using her.
On the other hand, Gianna didn't know what else she was expecting. Rafe didn't seem like the relationship type, even before everything happened, he had a different girl on his lap every month. And it's not like Gianna wanted to be boyfriend girlfriend, but come on, fucking and dipping? Low move.
Even for a murderer.
She shook the thought from her head, deciding she'd had enough of her own mind. She grabbed her phone, checking the time: almost two thirty in the morning. Gianna grimaced. God, and she had school in the morning.
In less than six hours she'd be up again, in that hellhole of a school. Oh, she also had tennis with Nate that afternoon. She'd need to make a mental note not to forget.
Oh well, at least in her dreams she'd be something more than just a casual fuck buddy, student with no plan for the future and an occasional tennis player.

The Gray girls morning was as normal as it could be. In the morning, she had three shots of espresso in her coffee along with a dash of lactose-free milk. Her mother, who had thankfully decided she'd had enough snorting cocaine, was sleeping peacefully in her room.
It was with those slumbers that Gianna had learned to take care of herself. Katherine Gray had a talent for sleeping long continuous hours, the drugs only made it more frequent. And before the coke, it was the alcohol.
The thought came along with the reminder to text Richard Gray about the occurrence. The honey blonde grabbed her phone, taking a quick sip from her mug as she shot a text to her father. The words were so familiar to her keyboard, that the entire phrase could be written by autocorrect.
Mom relapsed again.
On the stool beside her, she slung her backpack over her shoulder, moving toward the garage where her parents Porsche Macan and BMW X5. She didn't have much practice with driving ever since she got her license. She didn't need to drive when uber and, hello, Marisa's car existed.
But that day, that day she decided to take her mother's car for a spin. Besides, it's not like the woman could have any say, she spent practically three whole days on Coke and made Gianna's days so much worse because of it! How fun!
She entered the lavish Porsche, putting it into drive and opening their garage door, slowly speeding out of it. But Gianna could barely leave her driveway as two police cars whooshed in front of her, sirens a blazing and lights flashing.
But, in Figure Eight?
Something was wrong, Gianna felt it in her gut. Some sixth sense that made goosebumps appear over her arms and neck. So, instead of taking a right that led to Kildare Academy, she took a left, which led to the Cameron's.
