Bloody Mary 🩸

"Jin, did you hear what happened?" Namjoon asks running up to me.

I look at him wide eyed.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"Rose is dead." he says out of breath.

"Joon, stop messing around. That's not funny." I scolded him.

"Jin, I'm not playing around. She's dead. They found her face down in her bathroom." he explains.

"What the hell happened?" I ask, trying not to tear up.

"Rumor is she was playing Bloody Mary?" he says.

"What's that?" I ask.

"You've never heard of Bloody Mary? Everyone is doing it. It's an urban legend." he says.

I grab my books out of my locker and we head to our next class. Along the way I see my crush. The guy who I have loved since freshman year, Jeon Jungkook.

"You know, they say that if you say Bloody Mary three times into a mirror, she'll show you your future spouse." Namjoon says.

"Really?" I ask, sitting at my desk.

"Not true. If you say Bloody Mary three times in a mirror, her ghost will appear. That's what happened to Rose. They said she died of fright." Yoongi says, taking his seat next to me.

I stop breathing when Jungkook walks in with Taehyung and Hoseok. He makes eye contact with me and I can't look away. I could swear that I see a small smile but then he looks away to talk to Hoseok. I wish he would notice me, just once.

"We are all going to Jimin's on Halloween night for a sleepover, are you coming Jin?" Namjoon asks.

"Yea, I'll be there." I say.

Halloween Night 🎃

"Come in guys. Put all the food on the table and let's go into the basement." Jimin says.

I pick up a ping pong paddle and point it at Yoongi.

"You, me, epic match now." I challenge him.

He laughs and grabs the other paddle. While Yoongi and I play, Jimin and Namjoon sing karaoke.

"Jimin, more of your friends are here." his mom calls down.

"You have more friends?" I ask.

"HA HA! You can thank me later asshole." he says, winking.

Coming down the stairs I can't believe who I see. Hoseok, followed by Jungkook.

Jimin claps excitedly, "You came."

"Yea, thanks for inviting us. Tae couldn't come, he had to take his little sister trick or treating." Hoseok says.

"We have food and games. Jump in anywhere." Jimin says.

"Can I play?" Jungkook asks me.

To say I am nervous is an understatement.

"Sure." I say, handing him the paddle.

He chuckles, and he is so hot when he shows that crooked smile. "I meant can I play against you." he says.

Yoongi smiles and hands Jungkook his paddle.

"Maybe you can beat him, he's been whipping my ass all night." Yoongi says.

Jungkook laughs, "I'll try my best."
