Fishes and Birds (nightwing x oc)

First Mission

I'm doing the dishes when the pager The Hero Wannabe Team gave me two days ago starts buzzing.

I quickly finish the dishes and put on my suit "'Sophie! I have to go out.'' I tap on her shoulder ''going out robbing again?'' She turned her head and locked her eyes with mine.

I can't lie to her anymore.

''Didn't I tell you I quit?'' I say with a smile.

Her eyes lit up as she tried to hide a smile ''but how will we earn money?'' She asked as her eyes darkened again. "We might have a 'Sponsor' '' Sophie jumped up from the couch and tightly hugged me.

''that's amazing! but i still don't get it...'' She asked and before I could awnser my pagger buzzed again ''Ill explain it all tomorrow, go to bed at ten!'' I yelled as ran out the door.

I park my bike and run into the ally, and thank god the photobooth has been replaced by, another photobooth but this one looks brand new.

I step inside and this time I don't almost vomit.

I type in my name, number and click on the-

The flash of light hits me again and in a matter of seconds im in the cold cave.

I walked into the cave only to see that I was the last one there, and Nightwing gave me a nasty look.

"Sorry Mr. Bird, But I have a life outside of this you know.'' I smiled smugly at him and crossed my arms.

Nightwing gave a deep annoyed sigh and explained why we were here. "The league and the team will hit all fourteen Zeta-locations simultaneously, your priorities are to destroy all Zeta-tubes or platforms the aliens might of obtained and to look for humans they may have abducted.''

Seems easy enough.

"C'mon Alpha squad..." The fish boy said to himself, of which I can't remember the name.

''Me and Wonder girl are Alpha.'' Nightwing said.

Fish boy was not happy with that. I don't get his hype for alpha squad I mean I've never experienced it but if I have to work with Nightwing I can't imagine it's fun.

''Me and Wonder girl are going to Philadelphia. And beta is Batgirl and Bumblebee and Wolf'' Nightwing walked to the left of the group (me included) ''You guys are Gamma, prep the Bioship you're going to New Orleans.''

''Gamma always gets the soft gigs'' Fishboy sighed.

Why does he have to be so negative?

Blue beetle and Fish boy walk to the room where the ship is and I follow them, but I when im about to head into the other part of the cave I hear Nightwing talking to Robin.

"Keep an eye on Siren for me?"

Wass all I could make out.

So he's got an eye on me? I chuckle at the thought but then I realize that they could hear me.

I look at the boys and wink at them. I can almost see the steam comming out of Nightwings ears.

I quickly run off twords the ship before Nightwing can grab his pitchfork.

"What's up with you and Nightwing? You fight like exes." Blue Beetle asks as the ship start flying.

If I was drinking water I would've spit it out.

"That boy wonder would be lucky!" I laugh out.

"Im sorry, I didn't mean anything with it!" Bluebeetle threw his hands in the air in fear.
