The hand she held against her chest didn't stop; it slipped inside Xu Zhen's clothing. Xu Zhen froze, unsure whether to wake up fully or pretend to stay asleep. Even her breathing became difficult.
At this moment, Daoist teachings about going with the flow filled her mind. But something felt off-she thought, struggling internally. Yet, she and the "little beggar" had already confirmed their relationship, so what was wrong?
Her mind went blank, unable to process. The familiar hand explored her chest, fingers gently curving around her soft skin. Every movement was magnified in the darkness. Xu Zhen had never been treated like this before, and her body trembled involuntarily. She felt happiness and pleasure; all her nerve endings were undergoing an intense sensation, her thoughts and desires clashing.
She shut her eyes tightly, feeling every move of the "little beggar." After a while, an indescribable feeling arose within her.
She told herself, "I can't let this continue." Forcing herself to act, she grasped the hand roaming over her, which obediently stopped. Xu Zhen sighed in relief.
Outside, the wind and snow lessened. Inside the cave, the firewood crackled and popped, sending sparks flying as the flames gradually dwindled. Sleep eluded Xu Zhen.
Her mind raced as she leaned against the "little beggar," listening to her steady breathing. When the fire finally died out and the cold wind blew in, she pulled the blanket tighter around them and whispered, "Are you asleep?"
Her voice lightly echoed in the cave.
Xun Qianchun replied, "No."
Feigning casualness, Xu Zhen asked, "Where did you learn that?"
Xun Qianchun said nothing.
Xu Zhen added, "That move just now..."
Xun Qianchun answered, "From a book."
Xu Zhen nearly kicked off the blankets in surprise.
She tried to remain calm and asked, "W-what book?"
Xun Qianchun chuckled softly, her hand teasing Xu Zhen's sensitive skin.
Xu Zhen, breathless, pushed her hand away, saying, "You're still young."
Xun Qianchun acknowledged, then explained, "I saw it in a book our teacher left in the box."
Indeed, it was true!
Xu Zhen's face flushed with embarrassment, feeling her reputation was ruined and fearing her standing at home would be compromised.
She stopped responding to Xun Qianchun.
Xun Qianchun didn't say much either, simply resting her hand shamelessly on Xu Zhen's chest.
Xu Zhen's face remained hot as she closed her eyes, trying hard to fall asleep. But the wind howled outside, the warm breath by her ear was steady, and everything around her seemed to disturb her. Sleep was impossible.
Xu Zhen felt she was on the brink of madness; the world seemed too small to contain her!
After what felt like an eternity, not knowing how much time had passed, the wind and snow subsided. The warmth in the cave gradually dissipated, leaving the temperature just right.
Xu Zhen finally began to feel sleepy. However, just then, the hand embracing her suddenly tightened for a second before loosening again. At first, Xu Zhen didn't notice.
When she realized something was amiss, her eyes welled up unexpectedly. After a moment of hesitation, she turned around with difficulty, resting her forehead against Xun Qianchun's shoulder. She wanted to ask but didn't know how to begin.
