Hayvenhurst, California-Early May 1990
Whitney smirked at Michael fussing over her as he helped her to sit on the chair of the long outdoor table but not before putting a yellow cushion for her to rest her back. Almost nine months into her pregnancy and already tired; her belly now more rounded than before. It was difficult for her to move around which causes her to be sad and frustrated at times. It also didn't help that Michael was hovering over her for the past five months that it led her to become annoyed and angry. She just wants to strangle him sometimes.
Her mother warned her about mood swings and abnormal cravings during her pregnancy. And she was right, Whitney would cry over the smallest things, lash out at her husband for no good reason, and even waking up in the middle of the night to the kitchen due to cravings that are not normal. Michael was confused about her emotions and weird cravings, it even scared him a little, but as the months go by, he got used to it. Being patient and understanding, even if he wanted to yell at her.
Letting out a sigh, Whitney looked around the table seeing the entire Jackson family and her parents as they are eating their food and talking amongst each other.
Katherine, who was watching her son, is amused and in awe as Michael was fussing over his wife. It seemed as if he didn't care that everyone was watching him. Her son has become so attentive, sweet, and protective of Whitney. Everyone else was amused seeing the King of Pop's uncharacteristic actions. Ever since their wedding, Michael changed. The shyness he had from when he was a child is gone. Now, this Michael is more sociable, engaging, fun, and hilarious that the entire table exploded in laughter of a comment he said.
After everyone was finished, Whitney pushed her chair back wanting to get up. "I'm gonna go for a walk around." she said. While pushing her chair, Whitney winced when she felt a small pain in the belly until she relaxed when the pain went away. She rubbed her stomach as she is about to get up, when a sharp pain was felt. She reached for Michael's hand and grabbed hold of it. Michael was about to ask what's wrong, until she felt a sudden rush of water. Everyone, including Michael looked at Whitney's blue dress that is now wet.
"My water broke." she said breaking the silence.
"Michael quick, get her inside." Katherine said quickly getting up from her chair.
Michael carried Whitney inside, his mother and Cissy following behind, leaving the rest of the family outside. Cissy quickly put a blanket on the dining room table and large cushions to support Whitney's back. Then, Michael put her on the table, feet propped up, as she gasped when she feels the first contraction and then relaxed as it went away.
"Why does it have to happen now?" Whitney gasped "I'm supposed to deliver by the end of the month."
"Dr. Schultz said there's a high chance you'll deliver before you reach full-term." informed Cissy has she grabbed Whitney's left hand.
"M... Michael, I'm scared." she admitted as tears were running down her face. She then winced in pain as she felt another contraction.
"It's going to be alright." he reassured her holding her hand and then giving her a kiss on the forehead. "We'll get through this alright."
"Don't leave me, please."
"I won't."
"Ok, I called Dr. Schultz; he's on his way." informed Katherine.
"Good." Cissy goes to her daughter's side holding her hand then looked to Michael "Are you timing her contractions Michael?"
"Yes, it won't be long."
Another contraction comes in causing Whitney to cry out in pain and leaning on the edge of the table squeezing Cissy's and Michael's hands.
"I want these babies out!" she cried
