The year is 1955, in the country of Tenebris. The king of Tenebris, Richard Blackwood, and queen Jenna Blackwood had two sons: the elder, Kristof Blackwood, aged 30, and the younger, Damon Blackwood, aged 25. The country was facing significant problems, and to resolve them, King Richard needed to form an alliance with one of the influential families of Tenebris. The choice fell on the Lance family.
The Lances had a daughter, Divia Lance, who was 17. Divia's parents were Leyna and Brand Lance.
The Blackwood family were renowned hunters of all sorts of creatures (witches, monsters, vampires, etc.). The people of Tenebris feared witches the most, as they were the most powerful beings after the hunters. However, the most sinister and cruel witches were the Banshee witches.
On Monday morning, both families gathered to discuss the marriage of Divia and Damon. The king decided to marry off his younger son instead of the elder. The older son, Kristof, was a drunkard, wandering through foreign lands and never taking the responsibilities of ruling, hunting, or family seriously. Damon, on the other hand, was the best hunter of his time. He possessed magic — hunter's magic, like all hunters. He was tall, dark-haired, and strong.
While the parents discussed the marriage, Damon sat across from Divia, studying her intently with his eyes. Divia looked sad. She didn't want this marriage, didn't want to marry a man she had just met. Neither of them wanted this, but they had no choice. It was their duty.
