"George?"
He just stares at her, lost for words, dripping wet from the rain. Holding a soaked bouquet of flowers.
"I- I came to talk to you Taya"
"I'm glad. Let me get you a towel stay here two seconds"
Taya slightly shuts the door in his face, just so Kara can't see him. She rushes off through into the apartment.
"Uh George is at the door, wanting to talk" she whispers to Kara
"Finally" Kara says pretty much shouting
"SHH, can you go in your room whilst me and him talk? I don't want you to put us off?"
"Oh thanks a lot Taya, I'm not going to bite his head off"
Both the girls laugh and Kara makes her way into her room whilst Taya grabs a towel for George.
"Sorry it took so long. Come on in"
He smiles and takes the towel out of her hands and dries off his hair making it a mess.
Taya can't help but get butterflies in her stomach from seeing him like that. His hair messy. Him out of breath. Holding the flowers.
"So these are for you" he holds out the flowers for her.
"Thank you George i appreciate them, but you came here to talk so... talk." She says grabbing the flowers and putting them into a vase
"Okay yeah.. sorry yeah. Right" he stutters
"I just wanted to start off and say sorry. My actions towards you were not acceptable and I don't know why I did it too you because you never deserved any of it. I'm not excusing my behaviour in anyway shape or form but Mabel had genuinely lied to me and said you had told the boys you hated me and you hadn't message and of course as she blocked you on my phone.. I couldn't see the messages you did send. She's fully out of my life and will never be coming back. Ever. I don't know why I ever let her manipulate me and lie to me for so long. I was miserable with her, not how I am compared to when I'm with you. I'm not sure what much more I can say apart from I'm truly sorry and please forgive me" he says looking at the floor
Taya walks over and sits next to him on the sofa. "Of course I accept your apology and I forgive you. I was never angry at you George just upset, and I'm glad this whole "drama" situation is over, I hated us not being friends and not being able to talk, I was so confused seeing as the day before we nearly you know kissed? Then the next day I find you outside with another girl?" She says with a sad look on her face.
"I-I yeah" he stutters
"It's over now George, you've apologised and that's all I could've asked for and I'm just glad you're okay. That's the main thing"
They stare at eachother for a couple of seconds and then hug.
"So are you two friends now" Kara says walking out her room
"Oh shut up Kara" Taya says rolling her eyes at her
They all laugh and start talking about Tayas party tomorrow.
"So have you got your costume George" Taya says eating some popcorn
"Duh. Me, Arthur H and Chris have a group costume and we all look fit" he says smirking, both the girls laugh
"Taya looks fit in her costume I can't lie to you George. Lucky you making up with her today" Kara says to George giving him a certain look
"Thanks Kar but think Arthur is the lucky one in this situation. You look fucking amazing"
"What can I say" Kara says winking at Taya
A couple of hours pass, and George heads home as he doesn't want to push the boundaries by asking to stay round Tayas. She wouldn't have said no but it's still a bit awkward.
"Fuck me that seemed tense when he was apologizing" Kara says sighing
"It was a bit aha, he was honest with me and that's all I can ask for. We've made up now and there's a party tomorrow so I can't complain" both the girls laugh and make their way to bed. Excited for the next day.
