7 | hurting mess

"Here, honey. Have a bite"
Halmeoni stretched out her arm, holding the crumble cookie above the girl's face.

Haneul fell asleep in the café in her little book corner on the department once again while she was bound in her book.

She eventually opened her eyes, hecticly breathing as sweat ran down the girl's forehead.

She indeed had a nightmare again. Indeed after all this time it had happened, she dreamt about it again. The thing that had changed her life forever.

"Oh, Haneul honey? Are you okay?"
Halmeoni pulled her hand back but now placed the other one on the girl's back, supporting her weight as the girl was only staring at the floor, trying to get her breathing under control.

The girl sighed for one time and ruffled her hair with the right hand. She closed her eyes for a second before opening it widely again.

Then she turned her face to Halmeoni and widened her eyes.

"Oh, yes I am okay, sorry for that"
She muttered before wanting to stand up but Halmeoni interrupted her by pushing her back down on the sofa.

"No, wait here for a second, I'll be right back with some water"
The old lady quickly jumped up and rushed over to the counter where she eventually returned with a glass of cold water.

Haneul shortly smiled before accepting the glass, emptying it within one second.

"Thank you"
She brought over her lips, her hand placed on her chest. Halmeoni's eyes fell down onto her hand and she winced for a second.

"Haneul? Are you sure you're okay? Your hea-"

"Yes, I'm okay. Don't worry please"
The girl quickly interrupted the woman from finishing her sentence.

There were other employees already working in the Café, she just didn't want anyone else to know about her.

The brown haired girl placed the glass on a small table before eventually actually getting up, despite the old woman still worrying.

"I'm gonna change into my uniform upstairs"
The girl said, managing to have both her hands hanging down next to her waist, not daring to get near her chest again.

"Oh, as you're already up honey, Jay is waiting upstairs for you. He told me about your coincidental meeting yesterday and that you two visit the same class by now. He wanted to accompany you while walking there"
Halmeoni said.

Haneul's heart skipped a beat as she heard his name again. He was indeed everywhere. It nearly seemed like the boy caring so much about Haneul that he know even wanted to accompany her?

There was that thing that Haneul couldn't stop pushing away her feelings again. She shouldn't have at least. But she did.

She couldn't dare to have anyone around her might being able to find it out.
