(Third person)
Twelve years before present day...

"Long ago, many kingdoms lived and thrived, all divided by their species. Humans, Demons, angels, and many more. They lived and loved together. Until the humans got greedy. They wanted this land all to themselves. They set off to destroy or recruit each and every kingdom. One by one the kingdoms fell. The angels and demons went back to their realms. The witches, werewolves, and elves fell to the humans' reign. Only vampires remained. The vampire kingdom still stood tall. As a result of them not giving up, the humans banished them to a cave far, far underground. No vampire could ever leave, and no creature could ever enter. There have been tales of people trying to climb the caves, but unfortunately never returned. In a way, it's a prison, but in another it's protection. Now, There is a prophecy. A vampire will travel beyond the caves, escape the prison, and defeat the humans once and for all, setting the vampires free from our prison."
The sound of a book closing filled the room. 3 little boys and a girl sitting around astonished by the tale they just heard. The oldest looks up at the woman telling the story.
"Mama, who is the person who is supposed to fulfill that thingy?" He asked.
The women responded in a soft tone picking him up and setting him on her lap. "Well, maybe you, maybe your brothers, maybe your sister, or maybe one of the knights. But all I know is whoever it is is going to be a strong and kind person.
"I'm strong and kind mama!" He beamed. She looked at him lovingly and explained
"I know you are, but you are the heir to the throne. If you go, we'll have to put your sister in charge. And no one wants that" she joked
"HEY! I could run this place" The little girl pouted.
"Ok mama.." He looked off into the window as she set him down. As she took the younger ones out and put them to bed. He sat there wondering could I do it? I'm brave and strong and kind! I know I could do it! I'll prove them wrong! Right?
He continues to stare out the window, looking down on a beautiful kingdom that one day he will rule. But for now, he rests his head down on his pillows as he slowly drifts into a slumber.

(Hi! This will be my new ongoing series I make with my boyfriend. This will take me awhile to do because I'm not use to writing anymore but I'm trying to get back into it. This idea came to me while just watching Alux rising so if anyone sees any similarities, it's my inspiration! Thanks and I hope you enjoy this ride!)
