5: Team Z vs. Team X pt. 2

"Get me the damn ball!", Barou commanded his 'teammates'. The Team X player in possession of the ball just shrieked at his loud voice and passed it to him.
Meanwhile I already took off to mark Barou but was blocked off by 3 other Team X players.
"We're not letting you near the ball!"
"Yeah as long as you don't score, we'll win with Barou!"

I smiled. Did they really think this could stop me?
"I see. Let's see if you can keep up.", I replied with sarcasm.
That really irked them and riled them up; really just like children.
"What did you say?!"
Before they could utter another word, I already disappeared off to Barou.
"See ya!"

"What?! Where did he go?!"
Meanwhile Barou quickly made his way through our half of the field and was closing in on Raichi and Kunigami. With sheer force he pushed both of them out of his way and only needed to bypass Kuon, Naruhaya, Iga-guri and Chigiri until he was 1 on 1 with Iemon again.
"Stop him!", Isagi shouted who desperately ran back in hopes of stopping Barou's fierce attack.

"I won't let you through!", Kuon shouted as he stood in Barou's way.
Barou easily nutmegged him and just brushed off Naruhaya with his arm.
"Whoah..!"
"Don't let him through!", Kunigami said which slightly encouraged Iga-guri to try to stop him. However as soon as Iga-guri's eyes met those of Barou, he stumbled back not noticing me right behind. He fell down on my leg.
"You-! Get off!", I screamed at him.
He scrambled himself off of me however Barou who had a free way to the goal smirked triumphantly.

"Is that all?", he asked before getting another goal with Iemon being unable to stop his powerful shot.

Team X: 2:1

I gritted my teeth. Why did this dumbass excuse of a monk had to fall on me?
"Iemon! You're the goalkeeper! Can't you at least catch one ball?", Gagamaru criticised.
"I'm trying!", he barked back.
Our team was a mess.
"Just shut it. I'll get the next one unless someone is gonna fall on me again.", I said threateningly and calm at the same time while glancing at Iga-guri from the corner of my eyes.

This time it was our team's turn again to kickoff. Isagi glanced over at me and took a deep breath.
He dribbled forwards until his path was cut off by Team X players again. Instead of rushing in as he previously did he glanced back at me as I was running up the field.
"Asher, get it!", he pulled off a high and long pass which would be very hard to match with me as we never properly played together.
I smirked. It was a challenge from Isagi. 'Go get that ball and prove to me you're useful.'
That guy is nuts. He's not even half as good as me... but I don't dislike it.

I immediately accelerated to receive Isagi's challenging pass and trapped it perfectly.
Barou who was expecting this pass to fail scowled as he had already ran too far into our half of the field expecting the ball to come flying to him. A chance.
I dribbled forward and passed the two midfielders with ease .
Bachira who was running up the field as well glanced over to me with a big grin.
He probably had already seen that the defenders were all surrounding me and cutting my way to the goal off.

"You better bring me that ball back, Bachira.", I exclaimed as I, for the first time in this match, passed the ball over to Bachira who received it with a cheeky grin.
"Aye aye sir!"
He efficiently broke down the right side of the defense by nutmegging them and did a no-look pass back to me.
The last defender had mistakenly thought that Bachira was going to shoot and went to mark him only for him to realise his mistake too late as he saw me receiving Bachira's pass.

With me 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper I perfectly executed a direct shot with my left foot which left the goalkeeper in shock as he couldn't even see the ball until it hit the back of the net.

Team Z: 2:2

"We're tied!"
"You did it Asher!", Bachira came to jump on me which I simply dodged.
Raichi couldn't even retaliate with anything as I was the one who was keeping our team from losing.
It was Team X's kickoff.
Barou just grew more pissed off at this whole scenario of being tied with us.
