My home was destroyed as the meteor struck the earth, i managed to find shelter fearing death, before venturing further underground, and i found a colony of strange mole like people. They welcomed me with open arms, although their ways were foreign to me, i was glad to have found a home among them. Our lives were short back in those days, but i managed to outlive my kin, as they built a monument in my memory. I was the stranger who brought them hope, that one day they would return to the surface, they eventually would be known as homosapiens. They adapted quickly to the new world outside their caves, as their pale complexion adapted to the changing climate outside, a single flower was planted outside the cave, which eventually became a garden. It's said that they came back for generations, to worship the shrine of the wanderer, who brought them back home. What they didn't realise is i needed them as much as they needed me, as i lost everything when the ice age came, and i thought i would sleep amongst the tusks of those i hunted. I write this in memory of my distant ancestor, hoping that if someone reads this, know you are not alone, and you are loved. In the darkest night, that's when hope shines the brightest, i am with you always.
THE END
P.S. This was written in memory of a dear friend i had lost long ago, i miss you every day.
