Heartbreak

The beach had always been a place of solace for Lingling. The rhythmic crashing of the waves, the salty breeze, and the endless expanse of the ocean provided a sense of calm and tranquility that she found nowhere else. It was in this serene setting that she had felt closest to Orm, her heart finally beginning to open up to the possibility of love.

Lingling had never been one to easily express her feelings. She had always been cautious, afraid of getting hurt. But with Orm, she had found herself drawn to her in a way she had never experienced before. She had started to realize that her feelings for Orm were more than just friendship.

To show Orm that her feelings were reciprocated, Lingling had posted a picture of them together on X. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to her. She wanted Orm to know that she was there for her, that she cared deeply about her.

But her hopes were dashed when she saw Orm's Instagram story the next day. A white love sign, a symbol of love and commitment, was displayed prominently. And to Lingling's dismay, Popor, someone Orm had been rumored to be in a relationship with, had also posted the same sign.

Lingling's heart sank. She had been so hopeful that Orm's feelings for her were genuine. But now, she wasn't so sure. Was she just another one of Orm's flings? Was her love for Orm unrequited?

The next day, Lingling had to attend an eating show with Alex. She tried her best to be professional, to put on a brave face. But deep down, she was hurting. She couldn't hide her sadness, her disappointment.

When Orm tried to hug her and show her affection, Lingling pulled away. She couldn't bring herself to respond in the same way she had before. Her heart was broken, and she didn't know how to heal.

"Lingling, is everything okay?" Alex asked, noticing Lingling's change in demeanor.

Lingling forced a smile. "I'm fine," she replied, her voice barely a whisper.

But Alex wasn't fooled. He could see the pain in her eyes. "Lingling, you can talk to me. I'm here for you," he said, his voice filled with concern.

Lingling nodded, but she didn't know what to say. She was lost, confused, and heartbroken.

As the show progressed, Lingling tried to focus on her work. But her mind kept wandering back to Orm, to the Instagram story, to the pain she was feeling. She couldn't understand why Orm had done this to her.

When the show was finally over, Lingling went to her dressing room to change. She sat down on a stool, her head in her hands. Tears began to stream down her face, her heart aching with sadness.

Just as she was about to leave, she heard a knock on the door. She wiped away her tears and opened it, expecting to see Alex. But to her surprise, it was Orm.

"Lingling, I'm so sorry," Orm said, her voice filled with remorse. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

Lingling looked at Orm, her eyes filled with disbelief. "How could you?" she asked, her voice trembling. "After everything we've been through?"

"I know," Orm replied, her voice filled with regret. "I was stupid. I made a mistake. I shouldn't have posted that story."

Lingling couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was Orm really apologizing? Was she finally admitting her mistake?

"I care about you, Lingling," Orm continued, her eyes filled with sincerity. "I really do. I'm sorry for everything."

Lingling's heart was torn. Part of her wanted to believe Orm, to forgive her. But the other part of her couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal.

"It's too late," Lingling said, her voice filled with sadness. "I can't trust you anymore."

Orm's eyes filled with tears. "Please, Lingling, don't give up on me," she pleaded. "I'll do anything to make it up to you."

Lingling hesitated, her heart torn. She knew that Orm was capable of change, but she was also afraid of getting hurt again.

"I need time," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "I need time to think."

Orm nodded, her eyes filled with sadness. She knew that she had to earn Lingling's trust back, and it wouldn't be easy.
