The mountain trembled, its deep groans echoing through the caverns below. In the heart of the earth, far from the reach of light and time, an ancient prison lay buried, crafted by the gods themselves to hold something far darker than mortals could imagine.

For centuries, the stone walls stood unyielding. The chains that bound the creature inside were forged from the essence of the heavens, unbreakable, eternal. Or so the gods had thought.

Now, fractures crept along the walls, thin and jagged, like the legs of a spider weaving through stone. The air hummed with a slow, sinister hiss. From within, something dark pulsed, sending tremors up through the world above. The prison was weakening. The gods, who had turned their gaze elsewhere, had grown complacent. They had forgotten the depth of the darkness they sought to contain.

Beneath the surface, a voice, low and cruel, whispered through the cracks, its tone dripping with hunger.

"Freedom... soon."

The chains groaned, the stone creaked, and the cracks widened, releasing a wave of cold, ancient energy into the world. As the earth shuddered in response, the darkness stretched, reaching out, tasting the world beyond its cage for the first time in millennia.

From the villages nestled in the valleys, to the sacred temples on distant peaks, a shadow passed unnoticed. But in the quiet forests and ancient rivers, the spirits stirred. They could feel the old order shifting, the balance of power tipping toward something darker.

In time, both gods and mortals would feel the weight of this awakening. And neither would escape the storm that was coming.
