After escaping from the Skaven of Clan Rictus, Team RWBY and Team JNPR continued with their mission of disabling the bells within Mountain Glenn. When they reached the financial district, the streets in that area were surprisingly empty.
Blake: They're....they're empty....
Yang: This doesn't seem sketchy at all....
As Team RWBY and Team JNPR slowly approached belltower, the ground began to shake beneath their feet. As the two teams prepared their weapons, a Doomwheel speeds towards the two teams. Team RWBY and Team JNPR were barely able to get out of the way.
Jaune: What the hell is that?!
As the Doomwheel stops for a moment, the Doomwheel turns around towards Team RWBY and Team JNPR.
Clan Skryre Clanrat: HAHA! DOOMWHEEL GO VROOM-VROOM!
The Clanrats inside the Doomwheel began to run on the treadmills within the Doomwheel, causing it to drive towards the two teams, forcing them to start running away. They move through the alleyways in an attempt to slow it down. The Doomwheel simply drives through the buildings, slowing it down.
Weiss: This is getting insane!
Pyrrha: Don't stop! Keep moving!
As the two teams kept running, a Clan Skryre Clanrat standing on the edge of the Doomwheel prepares a Ratling Gun and begins firing on both Team RWBY and Team JNPR.
Weiss: How are we supposed to lose that thing?!
As Weiss says this, a Skaven patrol blocks off Team RWBY and Team JNPR. All the two teams could do was turn the corner. The Doomwheel then runs over the Skaven patrol.
Ruby: They....they ran over the other Ratmen!
Ren: It looks like they don't care about collateral damage.
Just as it seemed that they got away from the Doomwheel, the Doomwheel crashes through a building, cutting Team RWBY and Team JNPR off. Without hesitation, Nora charges in and hits the Doomwheel with Magnhild, slamming it on the Doomwheel. Nora then fires a few grenades at the Doomwheel, damaging it. Weiss then forms several Glyphs that shoot ice shards at the Doomwheel. The Doomwheel then revs up as the Clan Skyre Clanrats then begin running on the treadmill, powering the Doomwheel. The damaged Doomwheel then begins driving towards the two teams, prompting Team RWBY and Team JNPR to start running. But as both Team RWBY and Team JNPR continue running from the Doomwheel, Ruby gets an idea.
Ruby: Guys, we need to keep that thing trained on us!
Jaune: Are you crazy?! That thing is gonna flatten us!
Ruby: We need to lure it to the belltower! Then we let it try to run us down!
Pyrrha: So it crash into the belltower and try to crush it beneath the rubble!
Yang: Good thinking, Rubes!
Weiss: This plan is extremely risky! We don't even know if the weight of the belltower will be enough to destroy it!
Blake: At this rate, it might be our only option!
With that, Team RWBY and Team JNPR began luring the Doomwheel back into the financial district. As they continue running, the Skaven Gunner continues firing his Ratling Gun at the two teams. Without hesitation, Ruby uses her Petal Burst Semblance to fire into the air, getting the Clanrat's attention.
Clan Skryre Gunner: Me shoot-kill flower No-Fur, yes-yes!
The Skaven Gunner fires the Ratling Gun at Ruby, missing her. Ruby soon materializes and begins freefalling towards the Doomwheel. Ruby takes aim with Crescent Rose and fires a shot at the Skaven Gunner, knocking the Skaven Gunner out of the Doomwheel. Ruby then rejoins the rest of the group as they continued to lure the Doomwheel back to the belltower within the financial district. After a brief but chaotic chase, Team RWBY and Team JNPR managed to reach the belltower. Team RWBY and Team JNPR prepared their weapons as the Doomwheel begins turning towards the two teams.
Jaune: This is insane.....
Weiss: I agree....
Nora: I'm still all for smashing that giant hamster wheel!
Yang: I'm all for busting things to pieces, but that thing looks like it can take some punishment!
Pyrrha: We're going to need to let that thing try to come to us. If we move too soon, it'll stop to turn around before it hits the belltower.
Jaune: And if we move too late, we'll get flattened.....
Ren: I can't believe we're doing this....
Ruby: We got this....
As Team RWBY and Team JNPR stared down the Doomwheel, the Clanrats operating the Doomwheel got into position. Once they got in position, the Clanrats began running the treadmill, powering the Doomwheel. As the Doomwheel charges towards two teams, Team RWBY and Team JNPR stood still as they waited for the Doomwheel to get closer. Once the Doomwheel got close enough, Ruby spoke.
Ruby: NOW!
Without hesitation, Team RWBY and Team JNPR jump out of the way as the Doomwheel crashes into the belltower. This causes the belltower to collapse and crash onto the Doomwheel. But as the Doomwheel was buried beneath the rubble, one of the debris crashes onto the Warpstone Reactor powering the Doomwheel, this causes a powerful explosion which blasts Team RWBY and Team JNPR back. As the two teams got up, they were greeted by the sight of a small green hued mushroom cloud.
Yang: That....that's doesn't look good....
Ren: It....it looks like it might've been powered by Dust.
Weiss: No....whatever powered that vehicle was more powerful and more unstable than any strain of Dust.....
With that, Team RWBY and Team JNPR survived the Doomwheel. But what they didn't realize was that this would not be the last time they encountered Skaven from Clan Skryre.
