All I can remember from when I was three was me and my friends playing a game we just called 'go'. One of us would be this crazy monster, and the rest would have to hide. But two of us got to be the guardians; we got to try to tranquilize the beast using our 'dart guns', we just put blueberries in straws. I was the best monster; people always said I made it feel more real. I told them I never remembered being the monster, and they would laugh. I wanted to be a guardian, I had the best aim, it was my dream job. After that, I remember being 5 and sitting at a table with my friends. We all had our horns and antlers by then we even had a friend who was half and half we called her Mocha who had these cool horns with extra spikes. We were all talking about our fangs and tusks, what we wanted to be, what parents were, and all that. Their false indicators were already starting to get loose and mine were still in hard. Then I was six the only one in my grade who still had both of her indicator teeth I was made fun of but I still had time to lose them, I thought. It was my tenth birthday, everyone was there, all my friends who had been with me since I was three, even Mocha, I didn't lose any teeth but no one made a big deal of it until my mom slipped and her horn popped a balloon. My ears started to ring and everyone was looking at me with fear. My mom came at me with the balloon on her horns. The reflection scared me "Eli!" I heard her yell and that was the first time I went out. When I woke up I was locked in a cell and my mom was sitting outside of it watching me, I looked at her and cried, my hands covered with dry blood and shaking. my mom's face had a huge gash across her right eye, I had blinded my own mother. I was a monster.
