The air was crisp with the promise of dawn as I pulled into the gas station. The rising sun cast a golden glow over the sleepy town, painting the world in hues of pink and orange. I glanced at Y/N, her head resting against the window, her face bathed in a soft light as she slept.  She was a vision of serenity, even in slumber.

"My sleep-head," I whispered, my heart swelling with love for this woman who could sleep through storms. She was a perfect counterpoint to my always-on-the-go personality.  I loved the way her sleepiness contrasted with my boundless energy, how her need for rest grounded me.

I couldn't resist reaching out to trace the line of her jawline with my finger. I loved the way her hair fell around her face, the soft curve of her lips. I wanted to wake her up, tell her how much I loved her, but I knew she needed the rest.

We were on the verge of my "Eras Tour," a whirlwind of rehearsals and concerts that would take me across the globe. Y/N had been a rock, supporting me through the long, tiring hours.  She had been with me from the start, her talent a vital force behind my music.  The few days we had to escape the music industry machine felt precious.

“Okay, let’s get some coffee,” I said to myself, stretching and waking up a little more.  It was a ritual that was as familiar as breathing, a way to start the day, especially when we were on the road.

The gas station was small and quiet, the air filled with the smell of coffee and petrol, a combination that was a bit surprising but pleasantly familiar.

I grabbed two cups of coffee—Y/N’s a caramel latte, her favorite, and mine a black coffee, my go-to.  I also grabbed some pastries—a box of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, Y/N’s weakness, and a bag of sourdough bread, her absolute holy grail.  Anything to get her out of her sleep.

I could feel her stirring beside me, her eyes opening as the aroma of coffee wafted through the car, a familiar and comforting scent. I couldn’t help but smile.  The aroma of coffee had a way of waking her up  so easily.

"Finally you're up, princess," I said, chuckling.  It was a pet name I had started using for her a while back, a simple term of endearment that made her smile.

Y/N  smiled back, her eyes bright with a sleepiness that was so endearing.  “Thank you," she said as she moved her head to kiss me gently.

"You’re welcome," I said, my heart warming as I watched her wake up.   I  loved how even in a sleepy haze, the warmth of her touch made my  face    light    up.

"Where are we going?" Y/N asked. She was starting to get excited, her eyes sparkling with a curiosity that made me smile.

"It's a secret," I said.  I loved the way she looked when I teased her like this.  There was a hint of excitement, a little bit of curiosity, and the tiniest trace of frustration in her eyes that sent a thrill through me.

“I know you love the forest.  I wanted to take you to a place where you could just breathe.” I said as I started to drive off, my mind filled with the happy memories of our relationship.

“We are going to a cabin in the woods.  I thought it would be perfect, just the two of us,” I said, my heart filled with the sweet anticipation of spending some quality time with my love.

"Oh, my God. That sounds amazing.  But it’s 4:00 in the morning." Y/N said as she looked at me with a confused expression.

I glanced at her and chuckled. “We’re headed out of here before sunrise. Get ready. I will make it worth it” I said.

I could barely contain my excitement.  I couldn't wait for the roads to unfold before us, for the silence of the woods to envelop our  love.

The car was tinted, a protective bubble around our little world, shielding us from the outside world.  A world that I was more than happy to escape for now.

We drove in comfortable silence for a while,  the only sound the gentle hum of the engine and the soft music playing on the radio.

“Let’s  listen  to  ‘Out of the Woods’,” I said to Y/N before  turning on the radio.   Because it’s our song, I thought.

Y/N didn’t bother to hide her excitement.  She started to sing along to the song. Her voice was not the most beautiful, but I loved the way she sang it.  I loved the way her soul poured into the melody.

"I can't help but smile," I said as I looked at her, my heart filled with a deep  love.  I loved the vulnerability that she showed, the way she  made   beautiful  music even if she  didn’t   believe  she  was  a  good  singer. It   was   what   I   loved  most  about   her,   her   complete  unawareness  of her   own  beauty,   the  way   she   could   laugh  at  herself.

I started to sing along with her, my voice blending with hers, a sweet harmony that echoed the love that filled my heart.  We were a little off-key,   but  it  didn’t  matter.

"You are  so  lucky," she said,  her gaze focused on the window, her eyes lost in the beauty of the  morning light.

“I know." I  said, unable to resist reaching to take her hand in mine as I glanced at her, my eyes full of love as I met her gaze.

As  we drove through the  countryside, the landscape began to shift, the familiar cityscape fading into a blur of  rolling hills and lush forests.

Y/N  was lost in watching the out-of-focus world through the window.

“Y/N,  look,” I said, my voice a little breathless.

I could see the surprise, the  wonder  in  her eyes as we made our way to my destination.

I watched, my heart swelling with  love, as her eyes widened  at  the sight of the cabin.

The  wooden cabin, rustic and charming, stood in the heart  of the woods. The sunlight filtered  through the  trees, casting a magical  glow through the  windows.

It   was   the perfect place to escape the world, a haven of  peace and  tranquility.  A  place  where  we  could just be  together.

I pulled the car   to  a   stop.   I  turned  off the  ignition.  I could feel Y/N's eyes burning  into  my back.

"I  love  you.” Y/N  whispered as she  kissed   me   softly.

I turned   to  look   into   her   eyes,    my   heart  overflowing with  love  as  her  lips moved to  meet  mine.

I   could    barely    contain my   joy.   I   pulled  her  into  my  arms,  a  gentle  embrace  that  held   the  promise  of  a   new   beginning.

"Oh my God," I  said as  her  arms  wrapped around   me.  "This  is perfect."

I was  lost in the  moment, the  excitement bubbling over as we stepped out of  the car.  I  felt   her   eyes   on me.  I could tell  she  was about  to speak,  but   I  couldn't   wait any  longer.    I  pulled  her  close,   my   lips   seeking  hers.

I  was  lost  in  her,  my  world  narrowed  down  to   the  warmth  of  her   body  against mine,   the   sweet  taste  of  her   lips.
