It had always been those eyes.
It was all it took for my breath to get erratic, my pulse to quicken and my heart rate to fluctuate , crimson flushing into my cheeks and the pit of my stomach fluttering with a strange feeling- those eyes effortlessly did it all. So easily that sometimes it frightened me, while other times, it made me wonder whether it was so stubbornly decided in the stars that he should happen to me that my whole soul would quiver with uncertainty and an unknown feeling that just couldn't be restrained within the barrier of a noun, with just one glance from him.
I could never resist the pull of those magnificent eyes, so deep that I drowned in its ecstasy every single time I looked into those bottomless, dark emerald oceans, carrying in them magic, perhaps, for the next thing I would know is me surrendering to him, giving him my everything, only for him to sabotage it all.
With him, at least, in pain was pleasure and satisfaction. In tolerance was love.
Maybe, I had been destined to suffocate in that dark green,be suffocated by those dark, haunting flames, so mystical my soul vibrated with a sense of pure bliss, yet my skin scorched by the burns, my body struggling to breathe.
The only way for me to survive was to learn to be a dragon in those flames. And I did, just that.
