Jungkook sat up slowly, his head pounding as if it were splitting in two. Rubbing his temples, he tried to clear the fog clouding his mind. He remembered going to the party, having a couple of drinks, but then everything after that was a blur. He scanned the room, eyes darting from the empty bed to the door, trying to piece together how he had ended up back here.

Then he spotted Taehyung emerging from the bathroom, dressed in a silk blue shirt that clung to his frame, a little wet from the water still dripping from his hair. Taehyung was rubbing a towel over his head when their eyes met. He paused for a moment before slowly approaching the bed.

“You’re awake,” Taehyung said softly. “How are you feeling?”

Jungkook groaned, rubbing his head again. “My head’s killing me,” he muttered.

Without a word, Taehyung moved to the side table, pouring a cup of something hot and steaming. He handed it to Jungkook, the warmth of the cup spreading through his fingers as he took it. “It’s lemon tea,” Taehyung said. “It’ll help with the hangover.”

Jungkook frowned, lifting the cup to his lips. “Hangover?” he repeated, surprised. “I don’t get drunk.”

Taehyung gave him a small, measured look. “Do you remember anything after the party?” he asked.

Jungkook shook his head. “No,” he admitted. “Just the party... and then, nothing.”

Taehyung sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed. “You got drunk,” he explained quietly. “But I think someone spiked your drink. You weren’t acting like yourself.”

Jungkook frowned again, disbelief flickering across his face. “I don’t get drunk after just a few drinks,” he said, his voice trailing off as he sipped the tea. The warmth of the liquid helped ease some of the ache in his head, but it did little to settle the confusion swirling inside him.

Taehyung nodded, not pushing the subject any further. Jungkook stared into his cup for a moment, trying to process everything. Someone had spiked his drink? He thought back to the party, trying to remember any faces, any odd behavior, but it was all blank.

“How did I get back here?” Jungkook asked, glancing up at Taehyung.

“You were... pretty out of it,” Taehyung said carefully. “I helped you get back to the room.” His expression was calm, but there was something in his eyes---something Jungkook couldn’t quite place.

Jungkook looked at him for a long moment, his mind still hazy, but that tension in the air between them felt heavier now. As if something had happened, something important that he couldn’t remember. But whatever it was, Taehyung wasn’t saying.

“Thanks,” Jungkook finally muttered, finishing the tea and setting the cup down. He leaned back against the headboard, still trying to shake off the strange feeling gnawing at the edges of his thoughts.

“Don’t mention it,” Taehyung replied softly, his voice almost too quiet to hear.

Jungkook glanced at him again, but Taehyung had already turned away, busying himself with something else. And for the first time in a while, Jungkook felt uncertain. Something had definitely happened between them last night, something he couldn’t remember but it seemed like Taehyung was choosing not to remind him.

And that unsettled him more than he cared to admit.

Jungkook sat there, momentarily taken aback as Taehyung handed him an outfit and told him to freshen up. This was the first time Taehyung had asked him to do anything---ever since their marriage, Taehyung barely seemed to care what Jungkook did or didn’t do. Yet here he was, giving a quiet order, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
