Thoughts kept coming into my mind like a bullet train. Is Jason going to perform? Is it a party? Reunion?
"Emily!" Sophine shouted, her face right in front of mine.
"Wha-" I lost my balance on my chair and fell backwards, my head hitting the ground.
"Omg! Are you okay?" She quickly offered me a hand and pulled me up to my feet.
"I'm fine."
"Sure?"
"Positive."
"Oh okay. Phew. Oh, by the way, wanna follow me to the Vortex?" Sophine asked with a smile plastered on her face.
"For what?" I ask, expecting her to tell me what Jason really meant.
"Um... about that..." Sophine just looked down to the floor.
"Just tell me. Whatever it is," I looked at her.
"Jason's in a band called SE7EN. He's the leader of the band. And... he's my brother. Twin brother. Sorry for not telling you earlier..." In a band? Twin brother?! I was right!
"I knew it!" I threw my hands up high in the air.
"Huh? You knew? But... how? I never told you," she looked at me with those huge innocent eyes.
"I guessed. You and Jason just looked so similar I thought you were twins. But... I didn't know he was in a band. Well anyway, who's in the band?" I said, looking very curious.
"Well... Jason, YoonJae, TaeHwa and HwaYoung," she said, looking out the window.
"YoonJae? He... he's in the band?" I stutter because of how much shock Sophine threw at me.
"Yeah. He's the drummer, Hwayoung and Taehwa's the guitarists and Jason's the lead singer."
"Woah. That's so cool!"
"Yeah... sure is," she showed me a smile that I can totally tell that it's fake. But I didn't want to ask her anymore as I'm scared that it will just make this situation more worse.
"Come on. Let's go see what SE7EN cooked up for today's concert!" I say, hoping it would cheer her up. And it did.
"Yes! We better hurry if we wanna catch that concert!" She quickly took some random clothes and put it on while I decided to wear a vest with denim shorts and purple Converse.
We ran our way down the stairs like crazy people to the carpark of the school. The minute I saw Sophine's ride, I didn't even feel like going to the concert anymore.
"We're riding on that?" I asked Sophine.
"Yeah. Why? Scared of Vespas?" She said, giggling.
"Well, kind of. It looks like it can just topple anytime soon," the stand below the Vespa was already shaking a little.
"It's okay. Just hop on. It's not that shaky. It's just like riding a bike," Sophine then got behind the wheel, waiting for me to get on.
I just sigh and tried to get on the bike. It was super shaky when I jumped onto the back seat. Sophine quickly tried to adjust the bike properly before we end up sprawled on the floor along with the bike. This is my first time riding a bike, but I thought that I would be sitting behind a guy, grabbing his waist for safety, and not a girl. But anyways, she is my roommate.
We left Hwak-In High School and rode down the hill. Literally. My helmet nearly came off my head because of the super strong wind blowing at my face. We then entered the city part of Ganghwa Island. And, to tell you the truth, Korea really has good food. Like, really good food. Especially street food like fishcakes. Those were nice.
Sophine was permitted to drive a bike, but she was somehow trying to kill us by tilting her bike too much at those super tight turns and also only steering with one hand just to wave at some hot guy with the other. It was super scary.
I grabbed Sophine's t-shirt as tight as I could as she came to a stop in front of some small building with the big words 'The Vortex' glowing bright neon green on the front.
"We're here! You can get off now," Sophine said, but I just stayed there, grabbing her shirt real tight.
"I said you can get off now," Sophine tried to tilt the bike to make me get off, but I still sat there, making it harder for Sophine. I then got off like, thirteen minutes later.
Once Sophine parked her bike at the V.I.P section (I have no idea why), we both headed for the entrance to the club with Sophine leading the way. And boy, were there lots of girls in line. Fortunately, Sophine had the V.I.P entrance so we could get to the front of the line.
"She's with me," Sophine said before dragging me into the club. It smelled of cigarette smoke, but most of the club reeked of alcohol. Almost every corner.
"So... where's Jason and the others?" I asked after realising they were nowhere in the club section.
"Probably backstage, getting ready for tonight's gig," Sophine said, smiling.
The lights then started to dim, making the room even more darker than before. The stage lights got brighter, showing a drum set, a keyboard and two guitars. Four, handsome (and hot) boys walked onto the stage. Of course, I could recognise their faces. YoonJae had his messy hair, TaeHwa had that killing stare, HwaYoung had his amazing smokey look and finally, Jason had his golden coloured tight pants. To be honest, Jason looks even more hotter, now that I think of it. Very hot.
