"You can still go though. Be safe, come back by midnight at the latest" your parent lectured. Nobody in your family wanted to go to the circus with you but they said you could still go. Being allowed to go out all by yourself like that was rare and you were slightly nervous, but more excited by the prospect of still being able to go to the circus.
"You know I'm always safe! Thank youuuu!!" you said with a smile, hurrying out the door. The show was starting soon and you didn't want to miss any of it.
"Don't forget to have fun!!" One of your family members called to you as you left.
"I will, see you later!" You replied, not even looking back. Little did you know, you would not see them later and that was the last time you would ever be heard from by any of them.
