Y/N sat in the shadows of the dorm hallway, her eyes staring blankly at the darkened room around her. The day's events replayed over and over in her mind. Bakugo's sneering face, his accusation that her quirk was more villainous than heroic. The way he looked at her like he could see right through her disguise. It was unnerving. Every day, it felt like the walls were closing in tighter, and she didn't know how much longer she could keep up the act.

A low buzz from her pocket pulled her from her thoughts. She pulled out the burner phone, her chest tightening at the sight of the incoming call. Only one person ever called this number.

Her brother.

She hesitated for a moment, fingers trembling slightly, before she answered. The moment the line connected, she was greeted by the cold, familiar voice of Shigaraki Tomura.

"You're not reporting enough."

His voice sent a shiver down her spine. No greeting, no small talk—just business. Y/N swallowed hard, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm doing what I can. It's harder than you think. They're watching me."

There was a pause on the other end, the silence thick with tension. When Shigaraki spoke again, his tone was low, dripping with contempt. "Excuses. We don't tolerate excuses. All for One expects results, Y/N. And if you fail... well, you know what happens."

Her heart pounded in her chest, the weight of his words crushing down on her. Of course, she knew what happened if she failed. There were no second chances with the League of Villains. If she didn't deliver, if she couldn't pull off this infiltration, they'd kill her without hesitation. Her brother would watch, maybe even smile, as it happened.

"I'm not going to fail," she said through gritted teeth, though even she could hear the doubt creeping into her voice. "I just need more time."

Shigaraki's laugh was cold, devoid of any warmth. "Time? Do you think the heroes are going to give you time? Do you think All Might is going to wait while you fumble around in the dark?"

Y/N clenched the phone tighter, anger simmering beneath the surface. It wasn't just her brother's constant threats that were getting to her. It was everything. The pressure of the mission, the isolation, the way Bakugo looked at her like she was something filthy. Every day, she was forced to live this lie, to pretend like she was one of them, and every day it was wearing her down.

"You don't understand," she hissed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I have to deal with these people every day. They're suspicious. Especially Bakugo. He's already on to me."

"Then get rid of him," Shigaraki snapped, his voice sharp like a blade. "If he's a problem, take care of it. You're not some weak little girl. Use your quirk. Break him."

Y/N's grip on the phone tightened, her nails digging into her palm. Break him. The thought flashed in her mind like a dark fantasy. Bakugo, the arrogant loudmouth who treated her like dirt, always pushing, always trying to make her snap. There were times she wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug look off his face, to make him pay for every word, every sneer.

But she couldn't. Not yet. Not while she was still playing the long game.

"I can't," she muttered, her voice filled with frustration. "Not yet. It would blow my cover."

There was another pause on the line, and for a moment, Y/N thought Shigaraki might have hung up. But then, his voice came through again, softer this time, but no less dangerous. "You hate him, don't you?"

Y/N didn't answer right away. She didn't want to admit it, even to herself. But the truth was, she did hate Bakugo. She hated everything he stood for. His arrogance, his belief that strength was all that mattered, his complete confidence in the hero society that she was here to destroy. He was the embodiment of everything she despised about the world she was stuck in.
