"Yes," Su Su nodded.
"I didn't expect us to live in the same building. We are quite fated," Feng Zehua said with a smile.
Uncle Jiang, seeing Feng Zehua staring at Su Su, felt very displeased and said with a forced smile, "I also moved in today. We are indeed quite fated."
Unexpectedly, Feng Zehua didn't feel awkward at all and nodded in agreement, "Indeed."
Uncle Jiang: "..."
This person was even thicker-skinned than he had imagined!
He wanted to warn this young man in front of him, but looking at the two of them, it didn't seem like there was anything going on.
If he brought up a non-existent relationship, it might end up bringing them closer together, and he would regret it deeply.
Uncle Jiang was now conflicted, feeling like two miniature versions of himself were battling in his mind.
He finally understood the feeling of having his precious cabbage eyed by a little wolf.
Seeing the old man glaring at him, Feng Zehua felt a bit puzzled.
Was it because he was blocking his way?
Realizing that his luggage was blocking the stairs, Feng Zehua quickly moved to the side.
"Why don't you go up first? I'll be a bit slow with my things."
"Alright, be careful," Su Su said with a smile as she walked past him.
Uncle Jiang followed closely behind Su Su, giving Feng Zehua a couple of extra glances as he passed.
Although he looked pleasing to the eye, if he had any designs on Su Su, he could forget about it!
Feng Zehua didn't miss the appreciation in Uncle Jiang's eyes, but the wariness was too obvious.
He hadn't done anything to him, had he?
If he remembered correctly, today was the first time he had met this old man.
Feng Zehua's handsome eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Then he noticed the old man limping.
Moreover, there were no signs of bandages on his leg, nor any smell of medicine.
As a doctor by profession, he couldn't help but ask, "Old man, is your leg injured?"
Uncle Jiang turned to look at him, "How did you know?"
Although Su Su didn't speak, she also turned to look at him.
Right, how could she forget that Feng Zehua was a doctor?
If he was willing to check on Uncle Jiang, she could offer some supplies as thanks.
Feng Zehua saw the helplessness on the old man's face and the knowing look in Su Su's dark eyes.
How did she guess he was a doctor?
Was it just because he asked that question?
Feeling the stares from Su Su and the old man, Feng Zehua quickly dismissed his random thoughts, "I used to be a doctor, so when I saw you were injured, I couldn't help but ask."
Uncle Jiang looked at him skeptically, but before he could speak, Su Su asked, "Can you take a look at him?"
"Sure," Feng Zehua nodded.
"Thanks. We live in 701. Once you've moved your things, come up and find us," Su Su said, giving their apartment number.
Unexpectedly, Feng Zehua smiled teasingly.
With a gentle and friendly smile, he said, "I just told the old man that we are fated. Who knew we really are? Not only do we live in the same building, but on the same floor. I live in 703."
His tone was friendly, like chatting with an old friend, without making anyone uncomfortable.
Uncle Jiang silently rolled his eyes.
He was now sure this young man was not simple.
Su Su raised an eyebrow, "What a coincidence."
Feng Zehua shrugged and smiled.
Su Su and Uncle Jiang went up to the seventh floor, and Su Su took out the key to 702 and opened the door.
Uncle Jiang walked in and looked around, then checked the bathroom and balcony, feeling satisfied with every part.
Although this room was different from the houses before the apocalypse, after two months of suffering and hardship, being able to live in such a simple room was his greatest wish.
He didn't expect Su Su to help him achieve it today.
He couldn't help but feel moved to tears again, "Su Su, thank you."
Su Su gently placed a tissue in his hand, "Uncle Jiang, what are you saying? You took care of me growing up. You have always been the elder I respect the most."
Since her parents passed away one after another, Uncle Jiang had been with her, taking care of her life and studies, giving her a lot of love and care.
In her heart, Uncle Jiang was her family.
"Alright, Feng Zehua will be here soon. If he sees you like this, I can't guarantee he won't laugh at you," Su Su said with a smile.
Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Su Su turned to see Feng Zehua standing at the entrance.
"May I come in?" he asked.
"Come in," Su Su said.
The room was empty, not even a chair.
Su Su went back to her place and brought three chairs.
Without a word, Feng Zehua started the examination.
He first checked Uncle Jiang's leg, then, learning about his severe cough, listened to his chest.
He quickly made a diagnosis, "His condition is not good. His leg is fine, but he likely has pneumonia."
"This is just my preliminary judgment. If I had a stethoscope, I could hear more clearly."
Although he judged the pneumonia to be mild based on the breathing sounds, in the apocalypse, all supplies were scarce, including medicine.
Su Su understood what he meant. She had plenty of medicine in her space, so she wasn't worried.
But she needed to know how to treat Uncle Jiang, "What medicine does he need? I'll find a way to get it."
Feng Zehua didn't hide anything and listed the necessary medicines and fluids.
"I happen to have these medicines at home. Can you help administer the IV to Uncle Jiang?" Su Su asked.
Feng Zehua looked at her skeptically, not expecting her to have the medicine.
He nodded, "Sure."
Su Su went back to 701, took out the medical kit from her space, and found all the medicines Feng Zehua mentioned, along with some common cold medicines.
She put the medicines in the medical kit and brought it over.
When Feng Zehua saw the medical kit, he was amazed. She really had quite a few medicines.Although there weren't many, the variety was quite complete.
The key was that there was a stethoscope. To avoid misdiagnosis, he used it to listen again.
Confirming it was mild pneumonia, he quickly started the IV for Uncle Jiang.
