"What is love, Fairlie?"
Miss.Kim asks in a honey dropping voice but i know it's only because there are many parents in the classroom but who asks such question to a 5 year old anyways so i say what i do when i see my mumma after a long school day and what lulu does everytime he sees me and mumma.
"When you run to hug someone after a long and busy and tiring day and you instantly recharged, that is love." I answer and I know I'm right because ms.kim is smiling showing her perfectly white teeth which is more scary than a ghost in a horror movie.
"That's so sweet, Fairlie." She compliments and turns to look at mumma as she says to her. "As you see Mrs.Gong, she is doing great in her socializing skills and knows how to name her feelings and not only that her perspective on things are also way mature compared to other students."
Ms.kim keeps continue to praise me and I know I made my mumma proud again.
I look at mumma and she is looking at me too with a sweet smile just like everytime she sees me but not when she is angry which is very scary and rare, so I smile back at her showing her my crooked teeth which made her chuckle softly.
But in between this moment, I also see sadness in mumma's eyes behind the black rimmed glasses and I wonder what's wrong? Was my answer wrong?
IS THAT NOT LOVE? IF NOT THEN
