In the year 2165, the world has become a shadow of its former self, a fractured landscape where only one region, Ashenvale, remains vibrant, under the iron grip of The Dominion-This government, ruthless and unwavering, has turned the thriving area into a gilded cage, where the echoes of life ring hollow amidst a backdrop of fear and oppression.People strive to maintain the semblance of normalcy, moving through the monotonous cycle of childhood, education, work, and the inevitable death.
But lurking beneath the surface is a profound disruption-the emergence of The Gifted. Children born with extraordinary powers have thrown society into chaos, creating a chasm between the fortunate and the forsaken. In this unforgiving world, those who are ordinary live in relative peace, while the Gifted struggle against the stigma of their abilities.
As fear of their powers festers, society has found it necessary to categorize these individuals into five distinct tiers based on their abilities and their perceived danger to the population.
At the bottom of the hierarchy are the Olives-harmless and often overlooked. These Gifted wield benign abilities that evoke little concern. They may heal a scraped knee or coax a wilted flower back to life, but their powers do not frighten those around them.
Next are the Ambers, whose talents hover in a precarious balance between wonder and risk. While their abilities can impress, they also carry the potential for harm, especially if their users begin to push the limits of what they can do.
Then come the Cobalts, whose powers are undeniably dangerous. Capable of destruction and chaos, these individuals must tread carefully, lest their abilities spiral out of control. Training can transform their gifts into formidable forces, but with that potential comes the threat of catastrophe.
The Rubies stand at the precipice of societal acceptance. Highly dangerous and often ostracized, they possess powers that are harmful by nature, even without training. Their volatile abilities and intense personalities alienate them, even among the Gifted, leading to a life of isolation within a world that fears what it cannot understand.
Finally, there are the Obsidians-a mere 1% of the population. These Gifted are lethally dangerous. The Dominion seeks them out relentlessly, for their powers can bring about devastation. Eradication is swift and merciless, leaving no room for second chances.
In this unjust and perilous landscape, the Gifted find themselves in a relentless struggle for identity and freedom. They are not just numbers or categories: They are individuals yearning for acceptance in a society that views them as a threat.
As they navigate the complexities of their powers and the oppressive gaze of The Dominion, they must unite and rise against a world that seeks to confine them, carving out a path toward liberation.
